The ratings are in and…..
The season premiers of The Hills was the highest rated telecast for cable all year long so far!
It was also the highest rated episode ever of The Hills.
It even beat out broadcast television channels with the highest ratings for the night!
The premiere averaged over 4.7 million viewers.
WTF?!?!
Are all these people seriously watching the show?
Or did everyone just leave the house with MTV playing on their TV.
After the premiere, the performance by Mariah Carey resulted in an over 180% increase from the regular ratings in that normal time slot.
Even MTV online received record highs, with an increase of 29% of people going online to stream the episode. MTV.com delivered a staggering 2.2 million streams.
Do people actually watch the show because they think it's real or why?

Umm, we all know the Hills is fake, but seeing things like Elodie verbally bitch slapping Heidi's ass in Season 2 or Spenser making a fool of himself is heartwarming. And I will admit, Lo is just about the greatest thing since 99 cent Double Cheeseburgers.
I seriously watch it cause there's no better shows in Sweden.. sad but true.

lauren is awesome, she has such a bad rep for some reason. it doesnt make sense, I guess its because she isnt a coke head, a friend of paris,nicole or lidsays. shes trying hard to make the most of her life, she needs to be appluaded.

All TV is fake thats why we watch it. I watch Gossip girl and i know its fake, I watch Lost & Heroes and I know thats really really fake. The hills is just mindless entertainment and gives us on the other side of the continent a taste of Los Angeles….LA is a whole 'nother world.

i admit i did watch it but quickly turned it after the "show" that was shown during the commercial with alicia keys in it…. i think it was called fresh take or something like that…
sure it's predictable, but you have to understand a lot of us have been with LC since Laguna Beach. We're invested at this point. You can't beat the drama and I cannot WAIT to see what happens with Stephen. These are a lot of issues that many of us deal with, these girls just get to do it in a more glamorous manner.
i watch the hills becuase i love how it is reality television mixed with very good camera skills, ligting and even very good story plots…its like reality tv with plastic surgery…ive been a relgious viewer of the show since it started and its amazing

i just watch it because idk. its just fun to weatch other peoples lives get messy instead of your own for a change. plus tons of juicy gossip, dram and everything just make it funny. idc if its real or not. i mean i watch and am in love with greys anatomy. its fake so it doesnt really matter to me.
