I'm not a big America Idol fan but I do think she is the most talented of all the previous winners. I hope she gets her "act" together.
i never hated my december…i didn't think it was as good as breakaway, but i was glad to see her change directions. however, seeing her perform these songs live back in november made me appreciate my december more. i don't know…i admire her for trying something new but i have a feeling she'll go back to what made her super famous: powerful pop songs with great hooks. she can still be more personal/deep and have mainstream success. either way, she's extremely talented, has way more money than any of us do and probably could quit now and not have to worry about anything for the rest of her life.

i ADORE kelly clarkson, but she really put her foot in her mouth with this album. it's not horrible, but its not very good either. it's quite watered down, and it souns like it shoudve been her first album b4 she had a lard recording budget. she thought she knew more than the execs assigned to work on the marketing and direction of this album and she got her wish. she came out with an album that she wanted, and its a failure. i mean, she made a mistake, and she literally paying for it, but so did madonna, mariah, and whitney. she will have a better album the next time around. most artist dont understand that music is a BUSINESS. major record companies are only concerned about profit, not creativity. if kelly wants to keep her music "real" she needs to finish out her contract and go with an indie and play smaller venues and do whatever music she wants. until then, she needs to stop bellyaching and deal with sony. nobody forced her to sign a recording contract.

And this review is worth Sh!t having been at one of the tour dates myself I can tell you that her concert was Immense and I love her My December album better the Breakaway and I have friends who were at this particular concert aswell and they all said it was amazing, so one guys silly opinion doesn't meant sh!t to us or Kelly.
I saw her in Glasgow and she was excellent. My December is a great album, its just not in the same style as her previous ones. She hardly "bombed" in London given that the review you showed is from some London blogger and not any major newspaper. She's great, so don't exaggerate that she's a complete failure now.
Kelly has little ones, and that's all I got to say about that.
she is coming out with a new album. shes going back to her pop and ballads. i read she is working with the guy from one republic. i still love her and her music.

What a load of garbage! I just saw her in Bournemouth and she was fantastic! I think her new album is good as well. it may not have the mass appeal of the 2nd album but it still great to listen to.

The only thing that was right about that review was when he mentioned her World-Class talent. I know people who were at this show and the crowd loved all her songs including the ones from my December. I love Kelly, I adore her.
I have like her last 2 albums. I wondered if the conflict she had with her December album and the record labels had anything to do with such poor reviews and sales bombing. I thought it was great! I hope it isn't continuing with her new one.

What a detailed intricate review from such a prestigious and established website! The big question!! Why would you go see the MY DECEMBER tour if you do not like the album MY DECEMBER. There are a lot of critics and fans alike that realise Kelly's voice is too amazing to be wasted on overproduced Swedish pop with Dr. Luke for the rest of her career. We get it Perez! You didn't "get" My December.
I saw her in Manchester and she was awesome and the reviews of the rest of the tour were all good. The crowd in Manchester was immense. Either the guy doesn't know what he's on about or London is crap. I go with the latter

Well in fairness, My December is anything but watered down. Haven't you heard Irvine? And Clive Davis put the mark of death on this album before it was even released by being negative about it. If he had showed unwavering support then maybe people would have listened to it before judging it. Contrary to what you may think, the album was a critical if not commercial success (check metacritic for reviews) and had they released One Minute as the second single they could have salvaged the negative vibes that Clive Davis put out about the album.
i feel like shes made no effort in the last year, since "never again" came out she's sort of disappeared. its a shame, shes so talented. hopefully she'll be back ontop again.

obviously one of all those other reviewer who didn't really listen to the My December album, it is a brilliant album with brilliant lyrics. It's not like the fans only came for subg, to be honest I sometimes get sick of hearing that song.. we, fans, love to hear the new stuff.. The breakaway album might be a bigger hit, but we need to move on from the old stuff.. every album is a piece of art that needs to be respected.. my december didn't get much respect from all the people.. bet the clive story had something to do with that.. And also for Perez, the album is way better than fucking britney's who can't even sing and tour..

I saw her lastnight and she was amazing, her voice was flawless. I think this is all just a shame because her ex-manager didn't put the money into promoting her latest album, so her concerts are plain.. I wuld pay to see KC again, she's a fantastic talent and thos reviews are bullshit.

It wasn't Kelly that made no effort this year, she's been out touring, doing what promotion she can for her album, but when the record label won't support you theres not much else to be done, Kelly was all set to release Sober nad the record company cancelled it, then they said they would release Don't Waste Your Time, Kelly even made a video for it and again the record company cancelled the release, only allowing it to be released in Germany and Australia and they then announced that they won't release anymore songs from MD this had nothing to do with Kelly it's up to the record company if singles get released not the artist, Clive didn't want to be proved wrong so he went out of his way to destry My December by publicy bashing it and dissallowing promotion and single releases there are even rumours that he paid of certain big Music critics to bash the album also, Including probably this dimwit.
Give it up already, Perez! Unlike you, Kelly Clarkson has incredible talent and integrity.
It's the most expressive cd she's put out. I love it and I loved the concert. I liked it because it was deep and powerful with lyrics that really mean something instead of just singing one word over and over again with some shitty ass beat to get a "hit" puh lease.

I loved her album "My December" — and I don't even care much for rock, in general. She's great! and the best thing that American Idol has produced. I don't understand why she's not enjoying the amazing success that she well deserves.

Did you even read the review??? The author doesn't like the album, which is fine. But he says almost nothing about the concert. This is the first negative piece I've seen about her European tour. Where's all the positive press? And why don't you mention her "failed" album that has sold 2.5 million copies worlwide while getting almost no airplay here in US. That's pretty impressive in my book.

OK Seriously? This is the first bad review I have seen and of course it's the one Perez decides to put up. You claim not to hate Kelly? Then dont go looking for the first bad review of an actually really great tour. And I'm glad it's from such a reliable source. Keep getting your news from the tabloids P. The concert sucked and sitting front row were Batboy and Suri.

I do NOT understand people! I think this was her BEST album to date. It was so personal and I LOVE all the songs. Just 'cos they're not as happy of songs people have to call it a bad album.
Thats the problem with manufactured pop stars they depend on other people for hits, once those people go away you don't have "hits" it's funny that one of her only positive reviews came from the Avril Lavigne song breakaway, who hilton loves.

I went to see Kelly in Manchester in the UK, and she was brilliant. Her voice was perfect, the musicians were perfect. She was totally on good form and this guy is talking complete crap…but then again…the third album didn't live up to Breakaway…
She WILL come up with an amazing 4th album- can't wait!!

i saw her last week in wolverhampton and she was amazing, i think my december is great - it just maybe takes a few more listens that the others.
fuckin load of rubbish - she absolutely killed it in glasgow at the carling academy. maybe, sober and never again, all taken from her third album are wicked songs.- and sung live by clarkson, she's untouchable when it comes to the voice.
