Touch My Body has been on the chart for six weeks and it peaked at a high of #14 last week.
Let's hope digital downloads will help get Mimi's number back up!

It's still gaining in airplay, it just got pushed down because all the songs around it (most have airplay AND sales) stayed put or moved up. It'll definitely be No. 1 when it's first week of sales come it. it's got much more airplay that leona lewis or even Usher.

This whole thing you are creating b/w Madonna and Mariah Carey is ridiculous! First off, Mariah Carey's new song was JUST released as a digital download on Tuesday. Her current chart position is due SOLEY to radio airplay. This is actually a remarkable chart position for a song based on radio play only, considering today's music industry which relies heavily on mp3 downloads. My guess is that her song will skyrocket next week on the chart due to the song's mp3 release and it being #1 on iTunes.
Also, you may say Madonna is winning now, but you have to look at the history of her past few albums. Madonna has a huge fan rush at the beginning when her albums are first released, but then her album sales drop off rapidly. On the other hand, Mariah Carey is a much more consistent seller. Her album will most likely debut huge and sales will drop, but they'll level out and pace well throughout the year, leading her to most likely out sell Madonna in this new album race.
