Sad news TV viewers!

As we first reported three weeks ago…

Kathy Lee Gifford is returning to daytime!

The former Live co-host will be anchoring the Today show's 10 A.M. fourth hour, it was officially announced this morning.

Kathy Lee starts next Monday.

Gifford will be going head-to-head with the ladies from The View. We'd rather watch that show any day over Kathy Lee!

Honestly, it does not bother me all that much, I am kind of curious. Maybe she has learned her lesson and will keep her mouth shut about her 'Pefect marraige" and Perfect Children" (You just know those kids need therapy!) All the drama sought of made her human after all, I'm hoping she came back down to earth and will do what she does best, just be a host, when she wasn't blowing off steam she was very good at it, here's hoping.

Meredith Viera is so stupid- the inaccuracies of her statements are mind boggling. I had to stop watching the Today show even for the 15 minutes I could have it on- Meredith mispronounces words, misuses words, is pushy and makes everyone else look uncomfortable. She is like the whiney, annoying girl in every high school that thinks she's smart, but only looks lame when she tries to compete. I know Matt Lauer must want to kill her. Kathy Lee can at least TALK. And she is a very quick thinker, unlike poor Viera. The View is one of the worst shows on television. Who wants to watch the vicious Joy Behar, who is not funny but mean? Or that woman who thinks the world could be flat? Or the plastic Babwa? Whoopi has something to say every now and then, and I don't know why Elizabeth even came back from maternity leave because she gets so much crap for speaking her mind. I mean, that whole celebrity deathmatch with Howard Stern is just insane! Why did he hate her so much? I'm sure she will do a terrific job on the Today Show. I usually turn off The Today Show at 9. I will definitely tune in when Kathie Lee is on. She's entertaining. I'm impressed that the other ladies on the show are welcoming her, because she will take the spotlight. All the ladies are pretty likeable- except Ann Curry - YUCK. total phony- and before you say, "what about Kathie Lee?!" .. Kathie Lee at least gets the fact that people think of her as a phony. She almost seems to have fun with it. She doesn't take herself so seriously, and I like that.

The Today Show lost its way a few years ago. Look at Matt Lauer. Like a desperate guy who didn't read the fine print of his contract. That show used to be about news of the moment that was relevant and important. Now it's produced by 20-somethings who think we all need to pick out baby names and strollers.
