The Australian dynamo kicked off her media blitz on the Today show this morning.

You can count on the fingers of one hand the number of "pop" artists who've lasted more than a decade, let alone more than two decades! In July 1987 Kylie released her first single, a remake of the 1962 Little Eva hit "Locomotion". The song hit No.1 in Australia and remained in the top spot for seven weeks, becoming the biggest Australian single of the '80's. Twenty years later she now holds the record for the most played female artist on UK radio over the last 20 years!

It's becausa of the stupid US radio system that Americans are deprived of access to the world's best music that the rest of us enjoy. That's the reason that Americans didn't know David Archuleta's (sp) cover of one of the biggest songs in the world (You're the voice) & don't get to know huge artists like Robbie Williams (70 million solo albums). It's so bad that world class artists don't bother with the US any more.

OK, all you Kylie Haters get your FACTS. "X" has not flopped. It has proven to be a slow burner, but it is still selling very strongly. "X" is nearly 2xplatinum in the UK. It's Platinum in Australia, it's Gold in over 10 other major territories around the world and is still selling. The single "Wow" spent 2 weeks at number 5 in the UK chart having been a steady climber for 4 weeks prior to that, and even though it's now dropping it's a steady drop, not a complete fall out. "In My Arms" has been a massive success for her in mainland Europe giving her her first Top 10 single in France and Germany since "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". It's also done significantly well in other smaller European terroritories too. KYLIEX2008 World Tour is also shaping up to be her largest world tour to date. She currently has 53 dates on the first leg, and she hasn't even release Australian or South East Asia tour dates yet (due later in the year). Ticket sales are very strong and have sold out in minutes in many other countries besides the UK. Now, as for whether or not you think she's any good or not is a matter of personal opinion, and personal opinion only, but MILLIONS of music buyers around the globe seem to think she's actually pretty good at what she does, and that's ENTERTAINING and communicating with her audience.
