  36. meg says – reply to this

    36

He IS OUR PRESIDENT. WE VOTED HIM IN! We should stand behing him and respect him. HE REPRESENTS OUR COUNTRY, OUR FREEDOM AND OUR DEMOCRACY! Show some respect. It is the PARIS HILTON mentality. It is cool to hate him. GET OVER IT and love your country. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE HATING THE US. LEAVE IF YOU DON'T LIKE HERE OR ELSE PAY YOUR TAXES, FOLLOW THE LAWS, AND RESPECT YOUR PRESIDENT. If you don't like his policies, fine. You can vote to fix that. DON"T BOO my president.

P.S. Perez is just another Paris Hilton follower. He could have reported that he was met by some booing and some applause as other media outlets reported. He HATES THIS COUNTRY TOO! HE SHOULD MOVE TO CUBA!

  37. GOP rocker says – reply to this

    37

You know what - regardless of which party and what he's done for our country he should have not been booed - it was disrespectful. He did it and it was awesome - all of you people that are sick of him have every right to be - but let's keep it real and be sure to honor those people who deserve at least some claps for throwing out the first ball of the baseball season - for crying out loud, he was throwing the first pitch. You booers need to have a little more respect. You know what else is cool? He sat up with the commentators for a bit too which was awesome. GO GWB!!!

  38. silly me says – reply to this

    38

I saw the video and it seemed like the cheers out numbered the boos. It sounded like someone sitting close to the microphone was booing. At least when Bush was running for president he didn't have to make up stories about being shot at by sniper fire when there is actual video to prove that the story wasn't true. I thought that when Clinton died no one died, so how was there any war in Bosnia????? Also, aren't we still there after all these years???

  39. lucy says – reply to this

    39

this makes me so sad. i am not a fan of GWB, but come on people, it's not like he was giving a speech on the war on terror or something, he was throwing a freaking baseball… that's just tacky. he's still the president and no matter your feelings on how he does his job, get over yourself and get involved in the politics to make a change, not involved in the hate.

  40. Denise says – reply to this

    40

I was there last night. The money that we as tax payers spent for all the security for that asshole to throw a ball was mind blowing! The people who said there was cheering could not have been there. The booing was the loudest that I have ever heard! And I even saw some secret service guys booing and laughing! I will remember that moment forever!

  41. kb says – reply to this

    41

    re: meg

actually, more people voted AGAINST him than for him, so you may have voted him in, but most of the country did not! seems like YOU should get YOUR facts straight, you hypocrite.

  42. Dizzy Izzy says – reply to this

    42

For y'all who think it was disrespectful, look what this a$$hole has done to this country. We're in a war that NEVER should have been started. 4000 soldiers dead and trillions of dollars for oil we could have bought. He has corrupted the office of the president and thrown out the constitution. And oh yeah, he STOLE the election. Can you imagine how much better the economy and our international reputation would be if Gore had been rightfully sworn in. I'd boo his a$$ for sure. He needs to hear it and get a clue.

  43. DCResident says – reply to this

    43

Not true. Most DC residents have the respect not to boo the leader of their country, even if they do not agree with his policies.

He is ignorant and he is arrogant and he is not deserving of respect. None of the neocons, who are artful armed service dodgers every one of them, deserves respect.

Re: Anne Coulter – Er, "HARDCORE" republican….free speech is what this nation is all about. Perhaps you should reevaluate who you call a "fucktard" and accept that free speech means the freedom to boo the president commonly considered one of the worst in our history. Booing is part of free speech….just as is calling liberals "fucktards" as you did. Ay, yi yi…why do you "HARDCORE" republicans need to be reminded of this every single day as you wave the flag, drive huge vehicles and use free speech to demand that those who use free speech who disagree with you move to Iraq. It is beyond ignorant.

I laugh at the poster who wrote that we should "respect the office of the President" regardless. Are you kidding? When has that SOB in office ever shown the slightest respect for America and it's citizens.
Respect is earned…not automatically given because your Mommy and Daddy are rich and bought/stole you a presidency.

And for the morons that say "Love the US or leave it". Get a godamned grip on reality. The best citizens are those that question their Governments and remember that it is they who are supposed to work for us…not the other way around.

Oh and you can be proud of the USA and hate Bush at the same time.
I feel sorry for you Americans for that guy has ruined your reputation for good. I just hope you vote reasonably in the next election and show McCain the finger! America doesn't need another malignant and bloodthirsty president!

  82. Taj Mahal says – reply to this

    82

Anonymity strikes again. If Bush faced each of those people one-on-one, they wouldn't have the nerve. 4,000 people die in traffic accidents every week in the USA- and that is not for the greater good of any nation. It's just human carnage. Most at the hands of drunks. Saddam Hussein killed hundreds of thousands. The fighting in iraq is in a small area. We should have killed Hussein 20 years ago. Sorry for the people who think that Saddam should have stayed and killed hundreds of thousands more. Where is your conscience? Saddam killed most of the educated intellectuals so that he would have no resistence. We got less than 4% of our oil from them- it was never about OIL. It was about a future Hitler.

Not true at all - 40,000 seat new park - and there were some "protesters" (really anarchists) there egging drunk college kids and the DC liberal base to boo - but the cheers were actually much much louder. Most in DC are intelligent enough to respect the office of President of the United States to either refrain or not cheer.

Look. With this job, any president takes on the burden of dissent. It comes with the territory. Sure, he is a bumbling fool and the worst president this country has ever seen (in recent memory anyway)…booing at sports events is the norm. So happens he trotted himself out in the field to pitch a ball. That is relaly all he has been good for anyway.Pitching. But it;s the VP that is the evil one….His repsonse to a preorter a few or so ago when the length of time
out involvemnet in Iraq is is over 4 years and the saculaties are mounting, this
cretin's response was "So?"..That says it all about this administration. Good riddance to them all! Can't wait til November.

Spewing hate and ignorance in the name of patriotism? Free nations across the world exercise their rights to publicly cheer or boo their leaders. Bush is more out-of-touch with public opinion than any other leader in the free world. He MUST hear dissent and disapproval. It's OK to express it. Why do those who profess to be the most patriotic work so hard and so aggressively to suppress what patriotism represents? It worries me.

  93. Yerrrrrrr OUT! says – reply to this

    93

One of the great things about America is being able to boo the president at a baseball game, hahahaha! Disrespectful? Sure. But that's the POINT! He has lost those people's respect. The next president is guaranteed to be awesome - Hillary, Obama, or McCain. America, fuck yeah! We're respecting the office of president by getting that lying, arrogant sack of hubris and his bloodthirsty pack of vampires, oilmen, and defense contractors back on the sidelines where they belong. Well, they deserve jail, but they've kept the Dems and Reps hating each other so stupidly, for so long, that 30% of Americans will defend their worst sins in order to avoid gay marriage, but we've only got our own stupidity to blame for that. Keep the boos coming! And they yays! This is a democracy, but you've got to be heard for it to work!

    to: Anne Coulter:
I understand your passion for this subject, and I also consider myself a very strong republican. However, the language you are using and the total disregard for someone else's view is what gives Republicans this "cowboy mentality" perception. it can be frustrating to read some of the comments that people are posting… but to jump off with cuss words and condescending speech does not make you look intelligent. Soften up a little, and people wouldn't lash out against your comments.

To the person who said that more people voted against him than for him… how else did he get elected? do you remember that he won by over 3 MILLION votes in the 2004 election?

To the people that think he doesn't deserve respect: YES HE DOES. he is the leader of this country. Instead of complaining about everything he does… get involved in your local politics… and vote against someone like him next time! The republicans lost the house and senate last election…. you know why? people started voting against it… instead of bitching.

  96. TranslucentDivisionIsAnIdiot says – reply to this

    96

You get to boo him because we live in America. Bunch of fat tree hugging liberals. As much as I hate the thought of a democrat in office, I hope that cunt or American hating Obama get in…then who will you all blame for your problems?

  97. Rachael says – reply to this

    97

Remember… if you don't vote, you have no right to bitch.

I, personally do not agree with everything GW has done… but I do pray for his safety and the safety of our country. Has anyone noticed there hasn't been an attack on U.S. soil since 9-11? Say what you want about him, but he has kept you safe. He may not make the best decisions all the time…. but he is not an evil man, and I believe he has the well-being of the country in his best interest.

now, to anyone who wants to come back at my comment with ugly words, or call me an idiot…. there is nothing in my comment deserving of any of that. so you will look like a sour person if you don't come back with something intelligent.

GOD BLESS AMERICA, LAND THAT I LOVE!!!!! STAND BESIDE HER, AND GUIDE HER THROUGH THE NIGHT WITH A LIGHT FROM ABOVE…..
