Perez, did you read the article? The worst of his health problems are actually over, and he says he's NOT getting any more surgery anytime soon. The additional surgery would be to get his voice back, and he wants to take a break from the hospital circuit so he can work again.

      It's great to hear he's cancer-free.

I'm glad Roger continues to fight and I'm glad he and the wife have reconciled. Vincent Gallo's comments were atrocious and I hope he's ashamed he uttered them.

Good luck, Roger. I look forward to reading your reviews and hearing some good news on the health front.

Roger Ebert is the best. I hope he pulls through. He's not just a film critic…he's an amazing writer.

It's THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU moron. Obviously, you only have ONE THOUGHT and it's about yourself. I don't think you even read the actual article, P-Stupido

    29. retired says – reply to this

      29

"Our thoughts are with ya." ?? What kind of an uncaring sounding, throw-away line is that? Perez Hilton you fill this column with boring information about yourself (I guess because you think you are a celebrity) but when it comes time to show some real class and honest emotion, all you can come up with is a thoughtless throw-away line.

He's unfailingly classy, smart and interesting.

I love what he has said about our assumption that we must always look the same and how we spend too much time hiding illness.

      Go Roger!

I miss him on his show. He is a true movie lover. Even his bad reviews will make me want to see a movie, to see if I agree.

    32. robradharc says – reply to this

      32

Apparently watching too many movies is bad for health.

    33. Elvisal says – reply to this

      33

Roger Ebert classy? He's the diva of movie reviewers. He demands special treatment at Film Festivals and he tells waayyy too much about the movie. After reading his reviews, I feel I don't have to go see the movie.
That being said, I wish him good health, as I would anyone else.

    34. piazzasbuttplug says – reply to this

      34

I really wish that he had chosen to share his show with another movie critic rather than that piece of shit Richard Roeper. Roeper is a was a hack columnist before he got the job of co-hosting with Ebert, and Roeper has the credibility of a Catholic priest.

I meant "share the show with a movie critic".

Another good article/posting…this is totally worthwhile and probably a step ahead of the rest. Please keep on integrating these more meaningful (even though they are still about Hollywood) stories into your blogs. I think you have what it takes to be a step ahead of the rest.

I've grown up reading Eberts reviews and I can't bring myself to see a movie that he hasn't recommended, not cause I'm a loser who needs a critic to make up their mind about a film but because it is like taking film advice from a close uncle or a good friend.
