      buffy: not all British people pronounce 'th' as 'fr', that's just around London and the South East. Perhaps if you Americans stopped assuming that London is the only place in England and realised that other big cities exist as well you would know there are a variety of different accents.

That would be the guy that replaced him at his beloved Manchester United - Christiano Ronaldo. Beckham has made a little talent go a long way and the Beckham Brand has been sold to you like soap powder! As for the Armarni Ad - The current England goalkeeper was the first footballer to model for Armarni and that was ten years ago, but he was humble enough not to go on Jay Leno and brag about it.       not big in America…there is a whole WORLD outside the US where football is the most popular sport…baseball and American football would barely count as 'international' sports. The publicity must have been priceless, because there's no way on earth people in the UK would have ever heard of such a small team from America. David Beckham could have made a 'glorious' return to the English Premier league and finished his career on a professional high- instead he's chosen to publicise the sport he loves so much. Only time will tell if that was a mistake.

      And for God's sake the UK has about 200 accents according to linguistic records, and his way of saying 'th' as 'f' is merely representative of the way people spoke 800 years ago in that particular part of England (around the Thames estuary)
      The type of accent most associated with 'posh' English is actually one of the newest accents called Recieved Pronunciation, which emerged around 250 years ago…his accent is closer to how Queen Elizabeth I and Henry VIII and even Shakespeare would have spoke. Are the 'uneducated'?
