Little Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant AND engaged, but Momma Spears isn't going to let this baby lose her money in divorce!
Lynne is (rightfully) said to be insisting that the couple sign a pre-nup.
A source tells In Touch Weekly, "The contract is already drawn up and ready to go. Lynne's not sure marriage is a good idea, but she'll go along with that if that's what Jamie Lynn wants, as long as Casey signs the contract."
A family friend says Lynne is worried about Casey and is aware of rumors that he's a cheater. He adds, "Lynne is keeping an eye on him. He doesn't seem as committed to the relationship as Jamie Lynn."
Momma spears is currently back in Kentwood to celebrate Jamie Lynne's birthday this Friday.
The soon-to-be new mommy is turning 17. She's almost old enough to vote!

Marriages don't last a lifetime - the only reason they used to was either divorce was socially frowned upon, or neither parties could afford to move out. The only reason to get married these days is for the woman's financial protection if she has children (i.e. pension rights).
I think the pre-nup is a great idea it protects both Jamie-Lynne and the baby. I would have my daughter do the same thing. The boy has to sign on since Jamie Lynne is not old enough to get married. You Go prenup is the way to go. She doesn't need to end up in the mess her sister is in.

Why do some people still think getting married will fix the situation? They should just own up to their stupid mistake and do what's best for the baby. Children are better off with two parents who never married than being confronted with the anger and negative emotions of a divorce.
