The Office gets a Spinoff!

According to reports, NBC has given the go-ahead to the long-rumored spinoff from The Office.
The Peacock network is expected to make the announcement at its upfront news conference this week.
The series is expected to launch after NBC's broadcast of the Super Bowl on Feb. 1, 2009.
It will supposedly air after the original Office in a 9-10:00 p.m. Thursday block.
Who do you think the spinoff will be based on?
Ryan and life in the NYC? Maybe Dwight Schrute?

It has to be a Ryan spinoff. BJ Novak was a producer and wrote some episodes so it seems logical that he would be the one with a bigger storyline to follow. Unless he wants to only work on "The Office" only and not the new one.

If it were about Dwight, the regular show would suffer. I'll bet it's about the corp. office and Ryan will be in it. That way if it doesn't do well, they can have characters from the regular show be on from time to time to boost ratings.

I prefer the office as it is without spin-offs.. the spin-off will kinda ruin it. but if there is one, I will definitely watch it. I want it to be Ryan. It would not be hard to adjust to that since he's already away from the gang. I want other casts to stick together.

UK office is amazing!! US version was a very bad idea and a US spinoff is an even worse idea. Guys PLEASE! read up on some british humor, then watch the UK office and you'll be amazed!

I heard it's all new people in an all new place that we haven't seen on the show. Hmmm… I'll definitely watch the first few episodes. It's from Greg Daniels so that's a good sign. I'll probably always love The Office more than its spinoff though.

What's your deal? Don't assume that all Americans haven't seen the UK version. I, for one, have seen it and I think it's brilliant - absolutely hilarious. I love both versions. They're different, so stop saying that one is better than the other. That goes to Americans, too.
I will watch if KAREN is not involved. She is the only character of the Office that I just did not like.
