This is sad.
The lovely Miss Anne Hathaway, who we never hear about involved in any scandals, is dating a crook.
Seems that Anne's Italian boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, was just arrested by New York police for allegedly bouncing a very large check.
And how much was the check for? For almost $250,000!!!
That's one hell of a check to bounce!
This can't be good news, considering he was sued last year for $55 million for allegedly using company money to spend on himself and Anne.
Follieri is being charged with one misdemeanor count of issuing a bad check.
And, to add even more bad news, a D.C. court has ordered Follieri to pay another almost $250,000 to a PR firm that he owes money to for work they performed.
Let's hope he doesn't expect sugga momma Hathaway to pay his debt! She's too good for that.
Update: Seems like Anne's boyfriend "went willingly" with police officers — no handcuffs — to work out the check drama.
His lawyers are handling the "issue" and he is now out of police custody.

Ha Ha. There was a front page Wall Street Journal article a few months back that detailed how Anne's boyfriend scammed some high profile investors out of millions. He was supposed to be investing in real estate but instead he was using the money to charter personal jets and also rent a $40,000 per month apartment in Manhattan.
I wondered long ago what she saw in this guy. She's way too good for him and needs to move on asap.

That's too bad! Anne is one of the few talented and truely sweet actresses who has managed to stay out of trouble and remain a positive role model. Although, she is not the one in trouble here it is still a reflection on her…I hope she gets through this and continues to rock the screen!

Actually, he and Anne have been together for 4 years. I'm sure his money was part of the attraction, although he is really cute too. My mom was Rafael's housekeeper for a couple of months and all her paychecks use to bounce and he didn't pay for her last weeks salary. He was so cheap he use to allow my mom to bring his stupid dog Esmeralda home with her so that he didn't have to pay for dog boarding. It got to a point were she stop working for him unless he paid her first. My mom told Anne he was a loser and a ladies man she never listened. You should have listen to her.

They are absolutely NOT married. He hasnt even proposed! All of thier staff has quit or been fired, and they are always changing who they have around them. She's brainwashed. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be one of the biggest scammers of our time. It's just astonishing how many people believe him. I spoke to his driver once, and he said that Raffaelo had never come through on a single promise that he made to him, and even promised to get him a green card if he kept working (which he never did).
