David Letterman's show last night not only featured Walnuts' high-larious comedy routine, but also a Top 10 list in which Thomas Beatie, the transgender man who is now 23 weeks pregnant, was labeled an "androgynous freak show."
Letterman attempts to explain Beatie's situation using a cutting motion: "He had the thing."

Well I try to be open-minded and all but I do think we need to draw the line somewhere. Freedom (even though it is more of an abstract noun than actual state of things) of choice and stuff is just great but for crying out loud people let's just stop at one point. At the rate we're going we are most certain to prove Isaac Newton right (remember? … dude said end of the world will happen in 2060). If you can't have a kid adopt one. Give a family to someone who's already in this world. There's more than enough babies out there (along with a large number of people (staright, gay, trans whatever) who shouldn't be allowed to have kids at all).

Ok, I will let ya all know as a reproductive biologist the hormones this transgendered man is taking (though he still has his uterus etc.) will definitely affect the overall health of the baby. Parents should start being more concerned about the health of the child rather than their personal choice to have a child.

I think you should all be ashamed of yourselves for passing such judgement. If they can raise a child in a safe happy healthy environment then so be it. Should it really matter that the husband is the one carrying the child? I don't think it should. You should focus your anger towards the fact that there isn't enough being done in the world to stop poverty, famine, or disease to name a few. Maybe you should direct your anger towards the parents who don't care for their children, the parents who abuse and neglect their children. There are people in the world who WANT to have happy healthy children. Promote protection and birth control to those who aren't ready to become parents and leave the people who are alone, regardless of how or whom is carrying the child!
