   Men haven't been raised with the idea of doing it, so the possiblity seems all the less appealing. For women, it's something you know lies in your future if you want to have children, and plus the whole menstruation thing sort of primes it as you go along through life, so we at least accept it. It's not that men are inherently weaker than women…they just aren't used to pain like women are….and lets face it, child birth itself is pure pain. Who would choose that if you could have the best of both worlds, by still having a kid yet not experiencing the pain?

    I think it's great that any loving couple have a baby — gay, straight, transgender or otherwise. But calling a transgender man who kept his/her uterus a pregnant man is really a stretch. Come on, people. No story there. Media desperation. Not much discretion on the part of the parents either.

    If men could BIOLOGICALLY have a child then this would not even be an issue! Of course men would have children if it were possible. It would be as natural as a woman having a child in this day and age.
    All the preconceptions surrounding child birth and gender based expectations are as a result of a combination of your individual upbringing and surroundings.

    being transgendered means he felt so much like a man, he decided to become one. When a female in a heterosexual relationship cannot have children, other alternatives must be looked at. I dont feel its right he lives his life as a man but chose to have a child. if you choose to be a different gender, enough so to have breast removal surgery, you shouldnt just 'switch back' when the situation calls for another woman.

    Are you KIDDING? Guys are such wimps when it comes to pain(think of how whiny they get when they have just a cold or a flu,"I'm DYING!!!!") Childbirth is the WORST possible pain imaginable and once a man got ONE contraction he'd be dying!!! All it would take is one man to give birth and then he'd tell all the others how much it hurt….and no more men would try it!!Having a baby feels like a belt with spikes pointing inward being squeezed tighter and tighter around your body and the actual birth itself is like having a tire-iron pry open your cooch and then have a blow-torch turned on…or as Carol Burnett once said "Like having your lips pulled back over your head". That about says it all…God knew what He was doing when he designed it WOMEN(and NOT men!) give birth!!! Physically, we're much stronger to withstand that kind of pain.

    I am very open, but this just does not seem right to me. Birth is the most natural thing in the world. It should not be messed with. I mean… I know that he was a woman before and now he is a man. But it should be all about the child, and it's safety. I wish them the best of luck. I guess as long as they love the child with all their hearts. Thats all that matters.
