The rest of the world holds on to soccer/football because it is the only sport they have. He in the US we have three major sports that are extremely popular: baseball, american football and basketball. Soccer/Football has it supporters and has its fans but it will take years before it becomes as big as the other three. Beckham himself said this when he was on Jay Leno the other night. umm, i'm pretty sure it's his fourth goal in the mls so far. not that being a striker is his key job at the moment… and taking your shirt off is rediculous cause you get a yellow, or atleast you do in europe.

beckham's main job is to bring attention to the mls, and he's dont that quite well, dont expect him to play like a 20 year old anymore. in a few years he'll have to retire… it seems the only player who can still play well after 35 is paolo maldini, who is now 40. it'd be nice to see becks play till 40 but i highly doubty it will happen.
