The Sundance Channel is set to release several new series, which are set to debut later this year.
Some of those coming soon include: World's Greatest Treasure Hunt, Spectacle: Elvis Costello With …, and Iconoclasts, but the one we're most interested in watching is Johnny Weir: Black Swan Rising.

The show is being marketed as a "documentary series with six 30m episodes about U.S. figure skating champion and 2006 Olympian Johnny Weir as he trains for the 2010 Olympics." Weir also just won the current World Bronze Medal.
It better be a fagapolooza!
The show will include footage of Johnny's life on the ice and off. They'll even show him meeting our poppa, Elton John!
You might recall Johnny from an episode of Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D-List.

Does Elton John know that he has a fat ugly blogger/stalker who refers to him as poppa? Elton has more talent in a single strand of his thinning hair than you could ever hope to have. So if he's your dad, can you blame him for not claiming your tired fat ass?
Johnny is one of the finest figure skaters in the world - as well as one of the most creative and graceful. He is absolutely incredible.
I also give him props for just being himself - he is openly gay - instead of hiding in the closet like so many of his fellow figure skaters HAD to do in the old days, and some continue to do so even today!
I can't wait to see this documentary - I will be rooting for Johnny all the way to the 2010 Olympics!

I met him backstage at Champions on Ice a couple years ago…When I first saw him, I thought he was a girl.
I must watch this show. I do not care his sexual orientation, he looks yummy either way. I'd hit that 3 times.
He's not even a little whiny or petulant. In reality he is very sweet and always a good sport, saying kind things about his competitors whether he wins or loses. But the media is determined to portray him as the fairy version of Tonya Harding to Evan Lysacek's macho version of Nancy Kerrigan in this silly "figure skating feud" they are trying to fabricate for ratings, so they try to make whiny, closeted Evan sound like some kind of masculine macho boy he so is NOT and take years-old quotes of Johnny's out of context to make him sound like a diva and a bad sport just to promote their dumb caricatures, and people eat that shit right up.

too bad evan is such an eyesore to watch. his presentation is laughable, if not downright painful. let the media spin, spin, spin johnny into the "evil" to evan's "good," but take it from someone who trained with johnny for a number of years: he's not the person the media makes him out to be. not only is he a beautiful skater, he's a sweetheart as well. opinionated? yes. but he's a truly fantastic person.

Johnny Weir is an annoying queeny boy… he's so bitchy and annoying- at least in his public display of behavior. He's so arrogant and cocky too…and for what? HE did not medal in the last Olympics. I could care less that he's gay… since I myself am gay…but honestly…. gay men should have better taste in attire than he has. Its sooo trashy and overdone. It should be a skating outfit, not a halloween costume!
Evan Lysacek all the way. At least Evan comes off as more kind, humble and less of a competitive queen…. AND he has some serious talent. An Olympic figure skater who is 6'2"….does not happen every day.
