    That may be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read on your site. Green Day as one of the best American bands? Perez, you act like you are so cultured, above the triviality of the mainstream music scene and you just named one of the biggest sell-outs of our generation as a great American band. Just because Green Day was smart enough to capitalize on what America was going through with the Bush administration and the war in Iraq doesn't mean they are a great band, it means they have a good marketing team– they can barely play their instruments.

    Green Day is most defintely one of the greatest American Bands ever. Look at their stats, listen to how their sound has evolved, and listen to their messages and their voices…they were one of the only bands to recently put out a politically charged album.
