Mariah Carey "performed" on German Idol this past weekend, and her rendition of Touch My Body was harshly criticized.

Many, including at least one of the judges, thought that Mimoo was lipsynching!!!

After her live performance on "The Hills" I'm not surpised. The girl can sing but the acoustics in the studio did not carry her voice and the sound was awful. Singing to a track isn't new but this looks like lipsyncing to me!

BUT if she is lip-synching, that's pretty pathetic as the song sure don't require much range as far as what I heard. Hell, even I could sing that yawner. totally lipsynched. During the chorus at times she sings 'touch my body' and then she sings 'oohoo' and at other times she sings another part while the same voice keeps singing 'touch my body', which is her voice. Can't sing 2 different parts at the same time.

i am a very big mimi fan and always have been….anytime she performs live she alwasy sings along with her track…she's not lypsyncing ..you can tell that because her mouth is matching her voice perfectly and her timing is about a second behind her track. if she were lypsyncing as you so believe perez then we would hear her voice and then see her lips move and you don't you see and hear her at the same time.
