NoJo Takes A Risk

Norah Jones' next project is going in a different direction.

It's nothing like the NoJo your mom has grown to love!

The multiple Grammy winner has long explored side projects, one of them being a band called El Madmo and they just signed with indie king Conor Oberst's (aka Bright Eyes) label, Team Love.

El Madmo's album will be released on May 20th.

    I LOVE NoJo's new sound and transformation! It is exactly what I have been waiting for since she had that interview after one of her live performances where she said she couldn't wait to explore different styles of music! That is what music is all about.. Exploration!

    Amy Winehouse's Back to Black was the album Norah should have made. She should have moved towards that 60's swinging vibe to make herself more interesting and new. That's how she should reinvent herself. I hope she's reading this. She's done enough tender ballads.

    Norah is a self-described connoisseur of Jazz. She's better than Amy Winehouse musically speaking, but I don't think her choice in musical experimentation strays very far from her love of Jazz and easy listening ballads.

    Yeah, she's is half East Indian, from India, or rather Bangladesh. Her father is Ravi Shankar, whom she said she only met a few times. I am told that her step-father who raised her is a Jazz musican and she took his last name.

    Perez, if you even read this…Bright Eyes is signed to Saddle Creek though Team Love is associated with them. I know you're a busy man but fact checking is in order ( you don't want to be discredited like other publications ie. star, in touch) do you? Also this is David Beckham's second season with LA Galaxy and he scored last season. Just a heads up from some one who cares about you and truth in the media.
