FYI although the risk of HIV and Hep B & C is extremely rare via saliva, if she happen to have an open sore or blood in her mouth, there is a risk. The police officer would have to have some break in his skin or mucus membranes as well, although there is evidence of spread via the conjunctiva of the eyes. improbable but not impossible. the main associated STD with HIV is Herpes because the sore allows for transmission of the virus w/o tremendous exposure to the outside, which will rapidly kill HIV. Hepatitis can actually survive outside the body for a longer period of time.
