I dont get it, he said that he wanted to become a man because he didn't feel like he should've been born a woman, but then again he said he wanted to keep his female organs because he knew one day he wanted to be pregnant. And as a man, he wanted to parent with his partner. He has a uterus, his partner does not. They appear to be a healthy, happy couple very capable of parenting a healthy, happy child. What's the big deal?

The reason that he is pregnant is because his wife could not have a child. She had one from a previous marriage/relationship, but now cannot have a child due to reproductive issues. That was their only option, and they wanted to have a child. They were pregnant before, but suffered a miscarriage. But this time their pregnancy is going just fine. I watched most of the clips from that show and was very intrigued.

This story drives me nuts! This isn't some medical miracle where a human with testes and sperm somehow got pregnant. This is a human with a uterus and ovaries….not that unique. I'd be impressed if Thomas Beatie had been born with male genitalia, but he still has a uterus!!! There's been speculation that male pregnancy could be induced by implanting an embryo into a man's abdomen and attaching the placenta to the bowel, but it hasn't happened yet. When THAT happens, and a healthy baby results, THEN I'll be impressed!
I understand that some peoples' genders do not correspond to their physical bodies, but this is NOT some kind of medical miracle.
