Disney has announced that starting next year all pictures coming out of its Pixar animation studio will be released in 3-D!

Should we thank box office bonanza Hannah Montana in 3-D for the madness?

3-D makes big bucks!

3-D is such big biz that it's getting the four big studios - Disney, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, and Universal Pictures - to work TOGETHER. The big boys are going to help finance and equip 10,000 screens in the U.S. and Canada to accommodate 3-D movies. The conversion will cost as much as $700 million and take three years.

That's a lot of money!

So does that mean the studios are seeing profits of in the billions?

Expect a new Toy Story film in 3-D from Disney to hit theaters around November of 2009!

      They are trying to get more bodies in theaters, they ought to create new films & not copy Asian films so much, like The Eye, The Grudge, The Ring-that woman with the long dark hair is only scary the first time or 2. Get creative!

      Big bucks again for Disney and Mileymania..Watching Olympic torch "run" on tv. Its in a no fly zone, on a hidden route that goes to a boat hidden in secrecy with armed guards all around holding up red China flags.. Is this still America with all the secrecy , guards and big brother watching but no media allowed?? Its like China took over a tiny bit of America while running the torch through San Fran..anyone notice??

      Didn't we learn from the past 3-D craze? A cheep thrill maybe good for amusement park fun but last time it hit the movie theaters as an "art form" the movies were horrible and the gimmick ruled over the production. Still it will be fun to mock the people who come out of the theaters still wearing those 3-D glasses.

      Meet the Robinsons was a Disney production that was out in 3-D before Miley. But what sucks is that they released it in both 2-D and 3-D and you had to pay more, way more for the 3-D.       First of all– WRONG– not all of the PIXAR movies will be 3-D…they are remaking 1 and 2 in to 3D and thats it–and Disney animation studios is separate from PIXAR Animations studios–get it right or dont report it

      Well this sucks. I have a 7 year old kid that loves to go to the movies. I also have vision problems that make it painful for me to watch a movie in 3 D. Also, they charged 15.00 for the stupid Hannah Montana movie. What a rip off!
