Missing U.K. Star: Dead or Alive?
Sad story.
Former BBC kids TV show host Mark Speight has been missing since Monday.
According to friends, Speight has been plagued with guilt and sadness since the death of his fiancee, actress Natasha Collins.
Just before Collins' death, Speight admitted to police that he and Collins had been "partying" at their fancy Northwest London apartment, drinking wine and vodka and taking cocaine and sleeping pills. He awoke from 'partying' to find his fiancee dead in a hot bath.
Drugs are BAD! Mixing drugs and alcohol is even worse!!!!
Loved ones are worried because Speight told a friend before his disappearance he wanted to "end it all".
Friends and family are hoping that he just wants a bit of space and that he will get in touch soon.
We hope he's ok and gets some professional help!

I remember watching Smart when I was a kid, he has been on tv forever. I don't want anything bad to happen to him, it wouldn't be fair on his family.
Also as much as I hate drugs Natasha was a fully grown adult and surely the responsibility of her death in 90% hers. I doubt he forced the drugs into her and then dropped her in that scalding water.
His face has always freaked me out, just like rubber but Natasha was really beautiful.
I hope he is ok, my cousin disappeared as was found dead only last September so I know it is only the family that suffer when this sort of things happen.

I met Mark about ten years ago - he was kind enough to come to a screening I was having for some inner city kids animation work shops - he was really lovely to the kids and he is a decent bloke. I think if he is suffering from depression and grief and coke withdrawal he could have taken his life. I hope he hasn't though. I hope he is just taking a break to sort his head out.

Go hiking, go buy a dog - do something that gets you up and OUT. Most problems come from DEPRESSION and lack of activity that stimulates the brain. Don't have drugs do that for you, do it yourself.

I cannot believe how horrible people are being….ok, he might have been on drugs, but it's still sad that he has gone missing after his girlfriend died. He came to my mum's school last year to do an art-workshop thing and he was absolutely amazing with the kids, many of them are very sad that he has disappeared.

I agree with you completely, I think it's horrible to read what some people have been putting, I don't think people who take drugs intend for their problem to spiral out of control, I think it would be hypocritical if he was to blame other people for her death but he isn't so is taking responsibility for their actions. I think alot of people are judging the situation when we only know whats going on through the media and it's none of our business, a little respect is deserved I think.

Here's the deal. I don't know Mark Speight but I've seen him often enough on TV and he's kinda cool. Bad things should only happen to bad people (you listening Matt!!). If you have ever lost someone close you might have an idea of how lost you can get. If you haven't then it's probably best that you don't speak like a meaningless opinionated twat (like Matt there!!). I hope to hell somebody finds him because I don't believe he deserves anything bad to happen to him. My kids used to watch Art Attack and Smart and compared to the crap on TV these days that stuff is like gold dust.

Tbh, why do i care? Of course I care if someone's died or not. But I don't want it to go allover the news. It's not like he's a celeb. And frankly, if he was, I would really care that much about his social life. Millions of people do drugs, sometimes even billions. Drug dealling is one of the biggest crimes in the UK so people only find it as a suprise when It's splashed allover the front cover of a magazine.

I don't think anyone finds it surprising, id say most famous people have dabbled in coke at some point or another. Its just a really terrible tragedy.
