The Project Runway split from Bravo was ugly, and a new report reveals that it was money AND ego that caused the big shake up!

According to a number of sources, the show owners, Weinstien Company, thought cable network Bravo sucked.

First, they felt there were underpaid for each episode.

For the most recent season the Weinsteins received $600K per episode, but previous seasons the rate per show was significantly less say insiders.

Lifetime, the new home of PR, is reportedly paying them a little over $1 million per episode!

That's a HUGE pay raise!

Secondly, the Weinsteins thought Bravo took too much credit for the success of the show.

Lifetime kinda sucks now and Runway will make it sorta cool. The Weinstein bros. will be able to pat themselves on the back for getting the popular people to hang out w. Lifetime.

If that happens!

Honestly, I am a huge fan of Project Runway, but I have a deep hatred for the Lifetime Network and can't believe they would make such a huge mistake. The kind of image that Lifetime puts out is for the fat housewife whose husband cheats on her so she watches movies of women finally overcoming the evil of men. To smack Project Runway in there just makes no sense, and brings down the credibility of the show–whether or not it's warranted. It just makes it look kind of like a hasbeen show. I am really torn on this. I'm sure other fans will think I'm crazy, but.. I mean, jesus it's the fucking Lifetime Channel.

Absolutely I'll switch. It's a great show and I'll watch it no matter what network it's on. I agree Lifetime is pretty lame, so maybe this will make it a network that matters. If you're not into weapy movies of the week from the 90s, there's no reason to watch it. Runway could change that.

I think it's a shame that project runway is leaving Bravo. PR is the reason Bravo has done so well, and has open the door for all these other competition shows on that channel. Many friends of mine have never heard of Bravo, until the Project Runway craze.

As long as the the show does not change, I will follow it to whatever channel it goes to.

Bravo has just been downgraded, and they know it. Poor babies

Project Runway just shot itself in the foot. Because nobody watches lifetime or likes lifetime, when it comes to (next season) how will they advertise the new season other than the Network lifetime? I mean you don't just go and advertise your new season on other Networks. Now I could SEE maybe the show going to the STYLE Network….or even E. But lifetime? I love the show, and although I think the winner Christian is fierce, the last season seemed less than par, it wasn't as exciting as the previous seasons. I think this is a situation of Project Runway counting thier chickens before they hatch.

To be honest…I most likely won't because I did go through that phase where I only watched The Nanny and The Golden Girls. I got tired of it and stopped watching the channel. Even though they have good movies and shows, I stopped keeping track of all that stuff and said forget it. I'll watch whatever is on Bravo and all those shows. I haven't gotten tired yet so for now I'm stuck there and I'll guess I'll have to forget about the show. Because it's too difficult to be keeping up what shows show on what channel, what day, and what time.

The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.

Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:

"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."

That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:

"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."

She added:

"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."

Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...
