He was accused last year of ripping off (and not crediting) the Rubinoos' I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend and turning it into the April Lavigne shit hit Girlfriend. Everyone borrows or samples and it's acceptable for the most part. You just can't claim to have come up with it on our own!
Luke's also suspected of giving the hook he 'created' for a Veronicas song to another client, Pink, for the tune U + Ur Hand.
NOW, Arizona rockers The Asphalt claim that the dirty doc took the hook of their song Tonight and repurposed it for former Idol Chris Daugherty's song Feels Like Tonight.

I have tried repeatedly to post this on US Weekly's site but whoever is monitoring the site keeps "deleting" it. So, I'm posting it on other blogs cause I feel that as readers you should know.
After leaving my comments on a US Weekly article today it really got under another poster's skin and she started freaking out and leaving lots of other comments under her name and other names. Whatever. But, IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when she fired back with another comment telling everyone my full name (first and last) even though all I had used was my first name!!!
Somehow "Smoothie Sucks" (her name) was able to obtain my last name!!!!!
So, either "Sucks" works for US Weekly and therefore has access to EVERYONE'S NAME and of course EVERYONE'S E-MAIL ADDRESSES or she knows someone who works there that was willing to jeopardize their job by giving her that info or someone is hacking into their system.
It gets even worse if you are a member of usmagazine.com because when you join they ask for your REAL ADDRESS and your TELEPHONE NO. and she can get that info too.
So if you VALUE YOUR PRIVACY or your ANONIMITY, forget it. US Weekly is giving out personal information. I have reported this and will follow it up until I find out how they did this.

Go search on iTunes for a song, any song. Chances are there's another song, by a different artist with the same title that is COMPLETELY different.

When a song has success there's usually always someone that comes outta the forest that had a song like that back in 68' or some random shit like that and now would like not only to have a piece of your pie but would also like to bring you down a notch and make you sound like a fool to get you back to their jealous level. I'm sorry, I've never heard of this band and I think it's waaaay classy that they would wanna get quick famous by pointing the finger at someone who I know doesn't sit around and listen to shitty music (theirs) to reference it for a new hit song. Daughtry's song is great and probably has some musicality similarities but look the keyboard only has so many keys. It's a shame that band wants to get famous like this. It's gross actually.

this is an open and shut case. the chorus hook is the most important part of any song and this is blatantly copied. There is a slight performance difference, but the core of the chords and the lyrics AND the song title (cheeky) are EXACTLY the same.
I hope the real songwriter gets his day in court and maybe makes some money out of this tough-as-shit industry.

These songs have a "simular" sound for one to two bars of the song. That does not constuitute plagerism. If the melody of the songs were simular or the beat behind them them I would understand. However they are completely different and just because one line of the song is the same does not mean anyone ripped it off.

unlike the bands that started out in Lake Havasu with them when they were just punk ass kids rocken out the local skate rink…they have stayed behind the songs that Randell Mazick has created from his heart and they will not stop till these songs are in your lives for the better they hope. Driven by the creed "to bring the rock" this band deserves all they get and more. They are the true Garage Band. And I believe like alot of other folks here in the tristate, that they are Lake Havasu's great bright hope. They are here in Havasu for the first time in a while, playing a benifit concert along side a marathon dedicated to raise duckets to build a skate park in the name of their dear friend Private Pat Tinnell who died in Iraq. Then they will be in the fight for their lives at the Las Vegas Indy Rock Wars. then in the studio in LA to

The problem that you encounter in music is that most of it's already been done. When it comes down to chords, if you're a musician, you know that you're looking for chords that are in the same key (or sometimes not) but that sound good together. With the 14 basic major and minor chords you are going to have repetition. And to some extent that's okay, if it works for you, just like it's okay to have hooks that are the same, however, when you have both the same chords and the same hook you pretty much are a thief, no way around it.
