Crazy Speed… But if they are little people, they play against 13 and under, how old are they, how long are they playing for in the past.. it is great that they are actually doing this, but if grown ups wanna play against grownups, put them against manchester united… or even one of the MLS teams.. see how good they are then.. Dont get me wrong, they are very talented, but put them against someone their own ages, if they want to be equal and get national attention like they are doing… but stay with it.. they are pretty fucking awesome…

ok.. many people have made the point THAT "midget" is somehow more offensive than "little person". But I have a question:

WHY is "midget" more offensive, when "midget is defined the same way "little person" is?

Do people just look for things to get offended about?

It's not the actual word that is offensive it is the way the word is used. Unfortunately 99.999% of the time it is used in a mean way. It is hardly ever used describe someone's height but used to degrade someone as if they aren't fully human. Even though technically some short statured people are considered "midgets", it's still impolite to use it…for instance, for examply, if you were extremely oveweight you wouldn't want to be called fat by complete strangers even though, technically you are…just an example, I'm not calling you fat or anything. I personally don't like the word…it's just a weird word in itself.

I don't know Perez. Check out the roloff clan on Little People, Big World. Matt, the dwarf son plays on a dwarf league I believe. As the Roloffs say, they can do anything regular sized people do, only differently.

Midgets and dwarfism are two different conditions. Midgets are little people with "standard" proportions. Dwarves have "standard" sized torsos and heads, and shorter arms and legs. I guess the term "little people" applies to both. Lecture over. Quiz later.

Neither "dwarf" nor "midget" are acceptable terms to use to describe or identify individuals with short stature. The correct term is "little person" or "LP." But, it was FOX News, where they still use the words "crippled" and "brave" to describe someone with a mobility impairment who leaves their home to go to school or work.

I am a little person, and it is pretty offensive to use the word midget. Like twinklinstarr99 said, it's just used in a really negative way by ignorant people. Little person or dwarf is fine, little person is just usually more preferred. And for the Little People Big World soccer, there are LP soccer teams that compete against each other at the LPA national conference. The actual organization is called "Little People of America" but the sports are organized by the "Dwarf Athletic Association of America".
