Kanye West is finally opening up about the tragic loss of his dear mother, the late Dr. Donda West.
The rapper took to his blog to chat with his fans about how his life is different after his mom's death.
Says Kanye:
"I don't do anything I don't love anymore… I loved the flashing lights vid so it didn't matter 2 me if someone one else didn't. While people chase money I pursue happiness. So many people talk about there investments or how much money they have but there's so many rich people who spend a lot of that trying 2 buy a piece of happiness. If there's anything my mom taught me is to enjoy life. I just recorded my first verse in the last 6 months 2 days ago at Bape's Studio in Japan. It felt good and I was inspired. I absolutely lost my mind (in a good way) on the new Glow in the Dark tour. The constant hours of creating helped me 2 keep from loosing my mind in a bad way. Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. All that said, life is good….. good as finding the perfect fabric for a simple one button casual blazer with matching pants."

Well, I'm going to guess that your mom is still alive or you wouldn't be surprised that her death is still effecting him after 90 days. It will probably take whatever is left of my life to get over MY mom's death when it happens. But then we're close and I'm a fairly loving and compassionate person.

I am not a fan of his but when I read some of these comments it makes me mad. We are in a world where everyone uses short forms for words or when using MSN they shorten the words or make new ways to spell them. I am sure he knows how to spell boredom. But the comment on his mother by Hope is terrible. My husband lost his Mom years ago and it will upset him his whole life. You do not get over losing someone that close to you. You do not have a heart at all. I did not hear him looking for sympathy on that Blog sounds like he is finally living.

That's all well and good, but…I wish people who have all the money in the world would stop telling us who are still struggling that money doesn't mean anything or isn't important to them. They weren't saying that when they were struggling to get to the top and trying to make all that money. He's at a point in his life where he doesn't have to worry about investments and how much money he has. Many of us would love to be in that position.
