American Idol contestant David Cook will have a very special guest in the audience Tuesday and Wednesday night — his brother Adam Cook who is battling brain cancer.
Adam will be traveling all the way from Indiana to see his bro perform.
Do you think this will inspire David to get more votes give the performance of a lifetime?
Idol's mouthpieces declined to comment, but sources close to the show confirm that Adam will indeed be there with a doctor and nurse on standby.
We can't wait to see which Mariah Carey song David will perform for his bro tonight!

If you had a younger brother dieing would you not want to show him and share with him the best damn experiences during the time he's got left to live? I'm with 1:14…I won't bother watching now that Michael Johns is off and several who are not as talented as him are left on. He has the most talent of this whole group and has star power. Syesha? A wannabe. Kristy Lee? Not nearly as good as Carrie. Jason? A pothead street performer. David A? A kid who won't last. Brooke? Has a nice voice but she doesn't stand out - I can put on Carly Simon and get the real thing. Carly? Can sing but she looks and dresses trashy. David C? Good performer but plagiarizes music. Michael was, by far, the best.
