Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!
At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!

Great cause. Had family members that died from the disease. It is devasting to watch someone you love basically lose their mind. It's terrible. Nice seeing Ronald Regan's pict. on here. He was a great president, in my opinion. NO BS with him. Stuck to his beliefs and what was best for our country most of the time. Hey, he helped in the cold war. Sad he was struck with this disease and died from it also.

Do you know how much money the pharmaceutical company's would lose if they published the cure for Alzheimers? I worked in an Alzheimers unit for years and they know it's a lack of vitamins, minerals and hormones. A total breakdown of the autoimmune system causes Alzheimers but they don't want you to know that. Your donations go to the executives mansions, cars and private jets people, wake up!

Before you give money to ANY organization find out how much of your dollar goes to administrative costs. You would be shocked to find out how much does NOT get to where you thought it would be going. Up to half of it might be going to salaries for people working at the "nonprofit."

I'm surprised you support a "cause" like this. You have PETA adds all over, but apparently you don't realize that by supporting and funding the cure for this you are also supporting animal research testing. These large organizations use animals to find the cure. Go research xenotransplantation if you really want a cause to support.

i lost my grandmother to this last week. it's not funny. politics aside, reagan did help bring the disease into the spotlight a little more. i'm sure his family didn't enjoy watching him waste away and not know who's who or what's going on anymore than my family did.

The day Reagan died I cheered like I had won the lotto, and the moment Nancy goes I will do the same. They were BAD, BAD people. The 80s were not just a time for fads and music. It was a turning point all over the world. As leader of the free world Reagan had the chance to set the pace to a more "humanity" based way of life for all. But Reagan was the right man at the right time. Despite what anyone may think, he did a wonderful job. Just remember that he, along with the help of the Iron Lady and Pope John Paul, brought an end to the cold war and helped to free millions from the oppression of communism.

Regardless of his actions as President of the United States, Ronald Reagan was both a father and a husband. This terrible disease does not discriminate in targeting its victims, and he suffered like millions of other Americans. Furthermore, his family felt the same pain and agony that my family feels today, watching my grandmother slowly deteriorate. For once, I suggest we leave politics out of this discussion and support the research to find a cure. There may not be a hope for my grandmother, but there may one day be hope for others.
Thank you Perez for utilizing your platform to draw attention to noteworthy causes, and for choosing to bring attention to Alzheimer's.

The woman who raised me (not my own mother; a kind non-related soul who took me in when my own parents & family were too sorry to step up to the plate) was diagnosed with dementia a few years back & has wasted away to nothing. It's so incredibly heartbreaking to see this shell of what used to be an absolutely AMAZING woman. Kudos to you for helping in the awareness movement — people like to ignore the problem now; however, they seem to forget we'll all be there one day in the future….

It is a worthwhile cause. My grandmother and great aunt both died from it this summer. It happened so fast and it was so hard to watch. A cure needs to be found!
My grandad was the most intelligent inspirational man I have ever known, not just to me but to alot of people, he died in August last year from this horrible disease. It is truly hateful and heartbreaking to see how cruel it is. I wish there was a cure, but diseases like this just aren't "fashionable" to support, please do support. xxx

I appreciate that you are promoting Alzheimer's as a worthy cause, but how dare you say that you are "nothing" without your memory? Think about how that sounds to those of us with loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's. Are they nothing? Shame on you.
My grandmother died from Alzheimer's and my mother is currently dying from the same disease. If you have never witnessed the devastation of the disease to a family member, many of you might not be so quick make comments about Reagan’s passing. To find pleasure in the death of someone is a sad statement about today’s society.
With regards to what Reagan did or didn’t do in the early 80’s, many of you have selective memories as to what the medical community said about AIDS – they didn’t know what caused it and didn’t know how to treat it. Go back and read New York City’s Village Voice paper. How can you fund research when the actual researchers don’t even agree?
And for those of you so quick to be flippant about Reagan being the devil and your rejoicing in his death, let me give you one person’s perspective. During his administration with both houses controlled by the Democratic Party – the music was better, you could actually live on one paycheck, tax refunds were much larger than today’s petty reimbursements, and the country wasn’t so politically divided. To blame a nationally elected official (regardless of party affiliation) for all the troubles in this country or around the world is simply ignorant. Try standing in front of a full length mirror and take a good, long hard look. There’s your real devil.
Kudos to Perez for being able to RISE ABOVE the fallout of selecting a poster child for Alz. Reagans image is known worldwide and fell victim to the same awful disease that I lost my mom to last year. I HATED Reagan's politics and failure to address AIDS in a significant way, but he did fall victim to a family-devastating disease. When others on this blog say he got what he deserved, they never had a family member with the disease. I cannot fathom how one can rant on about how he deserved it.
