Not even prison can come between Doperty and his drugs!
According to reports, shambolic Pete Doherty is totally smacking it up IN THE SLAMMER!
As y'all know, Doherty was jailed for poopooing a judge's order to stay away from drugs and get some rehab. Though prison doctors are giving him heroin substitute methadone to wean him off, he's topping off the treatment with the real thing.
A fellow inmate said, “He hasn’t received his prison wage yet so he’s getting the drugs on credit and writing IOUs.”
Be careful, queen, people will beat you up if you make promises in jail you can't keep, especially when money's involved!
Dopehead has also befriended an ex-streetfighter named Ray, who is protecting him after a rumor started circulating that the singer brought a stash of drugs with him from the outside. AND his cell mate was a drug dealer on the outside.
Disgustingly, prison officers are supposedly treating Doherty like a superstar. They flock around him to get his autograph!
An inmate tells the source, “He usually signs his name next to a scribbled smiley face with a trilby.” He added that Doherty sleeps on a urine-stained mattress and has been told he will be transferred to an open prison when a place is available.
WTF?! Someone needs to whip these prison guards in order!
With all the breaks he's gotten and currently getting, they better not let this crackhead out early!

Between the apparent ease of getting drugs inside his jail, to the dumbass guards who sound like they just turn a blind eye to his antics, to the penal system that should have given him a couple of months in solitary confinement in a hosppital prison ward to de-tox him thoroughly . . . WTF!!!!!! Well, one thing is sure. This saga will make a hell of a good movie someday. Now, let's see . . . who should play Pete? Maybe Kate Moss can play herself? Hmmmmm. that's interesting, because i thought methadone inhibits the effects of heroin.. so if you take the recommended dose, and then shoot up, it would have no effect. but who knows what's going on in there. he obviously isn't learning anything in jail, he should be in some intense rehab.
Um… perez you cant get high on heroin or use heroin if your taking methadone… thats why ex addicts take it everyday.. he wouldnt be topping off methadone with the real thing because he would be getting super sick off it

I once knew a guy who tried kicking his heroin habit by using the methadone treatment. He said that after they'd give him his dose, he'd go straight to the streets to buy the real thing. He claimed that methadone made him crave the real stuff even more.

You still get high on methadone. My boyfriend is on methadone and if he does oxycontin or herion he still gets high. Methadone doesnt not have blockers in it. If you take a blocker then herion, you get really sick.

SUBOXONE works WAY better than Methadone, Its blocks the opiate receptors in the brain so even if you shoot up YOU WONT GET HIGH! It gets rid of all cravings too. Its amazing but expensive, it costs me $200 for the initial visit $75 bucks after that for each doctors visit JUST for him to write the script. and to get it filled EACH PILL costs 5 bucks. so my script is $120 a month. Methadone is just another opiate. (btw I was NOT a heroin user!)
