Not like I am claiming to be an expert or anything but the production attorneys for these shows get all this info from the background checks they do on all contestants …they weed out the killers and drug dealers you know the "bad apples" and keep the sex scandal ones as contestants so they can get a media buzz around them …then viewers tune in for curiosuty reasons and wallah you get ratings.
