      It is a matter of social psychology that individuals can easily dismiss extreme arguments through justifications that the speaker is a social deviant….and messages deviating moderately from the norm are much more effective/persuasive…. though interjecting kinda in between a sea of words likely pulled from a thesaurus will also reduce the persuasiveness of your message

      It's art. The point of art is to stir an emotion. To make you think. To cause a REACTION. You've all felt, emoted, thought and REACTED to her art. In fact, she has perez hilton talking about her. Pablo Picasso was considered insane and people REACTED unfavorably to his art, but he didn't care. He meant to make people feel off-balance and out of their element with his work. She's just trying to get people to notice her, to REACT. And it fucking worked, good on her.

      perez, did i miss that you are you are a pro-lifer? or are you just anti artistic expression, in this case? i agree that what she is doing is extreme and probably (at least partly) for shock value, but sometimes that's what needs to be done. it is still her body, to do with as she wishes. at the very least, she is bringing attention to (from what i gather from what you posted of her methods) to alternative methods to surgical and prescription drug induced abortions, both of which can cause permenant damage to a woman's reproductive abilities regardless of the presence or supervision of a physician. i am not normally provoked to comment in this manner, but i feel you are overreactting to her "art". eh. i guess you kind of overreact to everything…

      As many of you know, schools generally have a student search on their website. Yale has yet to remove the contact info for their 'lil artist.
      Simply go to Yale.edu, search for person, and type in her name. It will show her number, email address, and campus address (that would be where she lays her mentally unstable head at night).
      Since she thinks so highly of her "art", I'm sure she would love to hear from her "fans".

      A Yale student’s bizarre art project in which she claimed to have repeatedly impregnated and induced abortions in herself is a work of "creative fiction," the university said in a statement this afternoon.

      "Ms. Shvarts is engaged in performance art," a Yale spokeswoman, Helaine Klasky, said. "She stated to three senior Yale University officials today, including two deans, that she did not impregnate herself and that she did not induce any miscarriages. The entire project is an art piece, a creative fiction designed to draw attention to the ambiguity surrounding form and function of a woman’s body."

      Ms. Klasky went on to suggest that Yale would not have permitted a project of the sort described in the student newspaper. "Had these acts been real, they would have violated basic ethical standards and raised serious mental and physical health concerns."
