The very busy singer had double booked herself, though.
Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Carey was expected and had been confirmed to attend Us Weekly's "Hot Hollywood" party last night too.
Only she didn't show!
Mimoo cancelled at the last minute, and we're told event organizers and the mag were super upset.
Carey is on the current cover of Us Weekly, hawking her new record and talking about how she got that hot new body of hers.

well I got a signature and she was extremely sweet and very appreciative towards her fans. I got there early, so I got my blue wristband and got my signature. whomever complains about not getting their "guaranteed" signature should have expected her to be late. It's really not her fault, it's her agent/manager that books her for things (she had so many interviews last night). Mimi plays the game well: she promotes her album as hard as she can and also makes time for her fans. Just to see her in person was a pleasure.

There's no way she could have attended the US Weekly event, and Benny Medina never should have made promises otherwise. She didn't start her CD signing until 8:30 at Citywalk, and the US Weekly thing started at 9. Mariah had literally 1000 people to sign CDs for; you can't bang those out in 30 minutes… or even an hour.
Just like when she had an album signing a few years back at the Mall of America, she signed way more cd's and stuff than what she was surpose to. Mariah is truely a very good person and I'm so proud to be a fan of hers.
