Perez…I myself, 2 years ago, started practicing yoga in an attempt to get more healthy and fit…And it works…I feel great most of the time…I have a great teacher and go to two 90 mins. classes a week and practice at home every night for about an hour and it has changed my life in such a postive way, not just physically, but I can de-stress in a flash now. Do not listen to the haters here, she obviously made you this video for fun. I hope it encourages you to check out a yoga class. I am sure with you busy life, it would be a welcome addition to your work out schedual. Yoga is a good thing, check it out baby!

I'm the Perez Yoga girl's mom…really!
Thanks to all of you who are so positive about her fun video!
For those who have not been so nice, know that Sadie is a truly good person, who loves to offer her teachings for free, and in unusual ways that are accessible to all people. She doesn't need any more people in her overflowing classes, and wasn't trying to sell anything. She did not expect him to post the video on his site, and called me very surprised that he did so. For the person who talked about bad form, as she told me: she is using her "fun alignment" here…for beginners, which allows for more freedom and less an attempt to be perfect in each pose (that can come later)…but the alignment is still healthy. She knows yoga is a spiritual practice as well, but sometimes we yogis can also have fun and not take ourselves so seriously. (I have been practicing Yoga since the 60's…not that that in any way makes me OLD!) OK, so I am a little biased, I'll admit, but I know Sadie better than anyone, and believe me, there are still some really good souls in the world…and she happens to be one of them. Again, as she said to me, she truly enjoys Perez and wanted to give him a gift…and pay homage. That's all. I'm not used to on-line conversations such as this (I did not know who Perez was until now) and find some of these comments rather hard to take…so thanks for listening…Sadie's Mom

sadie is one of the city's best and most respected yoga teachers. she leads teacher trainings, and teaches with nationally known and respected teachers. her knowledge of anatomy is vast, scientific, and accurate. she is a teacher's teacher, and many of the nyc's respected instructors train and study with her. her sense of fun in her practice is unrivalled, and her spirituality is deep and real. there is nothing un-yogic about being successful at what you love, just as there is nothing yogic and noble in living in poverty. sadie is one of the most giving and generous yogis i know.

I've taken yoga for 8 years now, and what she's showing is definitely going to hurt someone. Make sure to learn your poses from an in-person teacher, people, not some woman making YT vids to get famous.
Why not each of you who have chosen to barf negativity, make a yoga clip? Then let us judge.
