hmmm i dont thing that's the first gay marriage in latin america, Mexico started having gay marriages a few years ago. In Coahuila, Mexico, the first gay couple to get married were two women …check it out.

One thing you may not realize is that marraige automatically grants you many legal rights as a couple. For example, if you are not legally married and try to leave your house to your gay parnter, they get hit with a HUGE inheritance tax…usully close to 50% of the value. If you are legally married, they get the house without the tax. That is just one of hundreds of legal benefits to a legal marraige.
