She really is not that much of a Canadian, so it does not suprise me that she is not all sweetness and light. Stephanie she only looks bad, the rest of us great canadian are sweetness and light. Um- did YOU read the review Perez? It calls her a "fabulous singer" and pays her plenty of other compliments. Overall no worse than any other newspaper review. Reviewers are rarely 100% positive.

Er…it's a complimentary article. Furthermore, if a male rock star had "narcissistic" show elements, would one comment on those? Mick Jagger's pomposity is called "swagger" and "sex appeal." Avril uses similar tactics and is reamed in the press.
I'm not a fan of hers, but I do think the vitriol is unfair to her.

I saw her last week with boys like girls. The entire concert was AWESOME!!! I don't know why people are so negative, I've been to MANY concerts and hers was by far the BEST!!!

I saw Avril in concert @ mohegan sun and I thought she did a good job at performing. Also, it looked like the whole arena was filled with fans wanting to see her. Also, BOYS LIKE GIRLS opened for her show and they were truly amazing. All perez fans should visit their myspace and listen to their music, which is really good!!!
In all fairness most of these reviews are wrote by middle aged men and thats not really her target audience…. You really need to stop bashing her, its jst getting old!!!

we all know that u r not a fan of avril PEREZ, and neither am i but let me just give u and everyone else out here some facts.her three albums has sold 30 million copies, alot of female singers do not have that kind of sucess and her tour is actually doing quite well.so call her what u want but avril is laughing all the way to the bank.
I saw her tour in Toronto and I was actually pleasantly surprised. The concert was really entertaining and she seemed pretty talented. She has alot of hits so it is great to hear them all. She even played the drums while she sang a song. Not sure why everyone is giving her a hard time.

every concert of hers that I have seen (4 now) have been truly amazing and in my memory forever. I have seen other bands too
In my younger days I seen Spice Girls, BSB, New Kids, Savage Garden, Kiss (ya kiss is out of context in my list) Celine Dion
In my older years I seen Nickleback, No Doubt, Gwen, Hoobastank, Simple Plan, Finger Eleven and more
And Avril was my fav concert all 4 times. Yes Celine has more talent in her voice, but Avril has talent and is very engaging.
And every time I leave, I hear people saying how awesome it was and that what they had heard of her sucking live is rubbish
