From what I read the article actually praised the performance…. it states '75 minutes worth of fabulously crafted pop-rock songs'.
I don't know where you get that she got trashed by the critic…. he actually seemed to like the performance from what the article says.

Er…it's a complimentary article. Furthermore, if a male rock star had "narcissistic" show elements, would one comment on those? Mick Jagger's pomposity is called "swagger" and "sex appeal." Avril uses similar tactics and is reamed in the press.

I saw Avril in concert @ mohegan sun and I thought she did a good job at performing. Also, it looked like the whole arena was filled with fans wanting to see her. Also, BOYS LIKE GIRLS opened for her show and they were truly amazing. All perez fans should visit their myspace and listen to their music, which is really good!!!

I saw her tour in Toronto and I was actually pleasantly surprised. The concert was really entertaining and she seemed pretty talented. She has alot of hits so it is great to hear them all. She even played the drums while she sang a song. Not sure why everyone is giving her a hard time.

every concert of hers that I have seen (4 now) have been truly amazing and in my memory forever. I have seen other bands too

In my younger days I seen Spice Girls, BSB, New Kids, Savage Garden, Kiss (ya kiss is out of context in my list) Celine Dion

In my older years I seen Nickleback, No Doubt, Gwen, Hoobastank, Simple Plan, Finger Eleven and more

And Avril was my fav concert all 4 times. Yes Celine has more talent in her voice, but Avril has talent and is very engaging.

And every time I leave, I hear people saying how awesome it was and that what they had heard of her sucking live is rubbish

Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...

Maleficent!

At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!

Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!

She explains:

"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."

And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!

So, so cool!

Gurl is going to ROCK this! Don't U think?
