This is crazy. Obviously, with anything profound there is going to be criticism. I think that if any of these critics actually read A New Earth, they would understand that the underlying message is not about denying God but about relnquishing the ego. I sort of have a problem with the part where she says that God isn't a belief it is a feeling…Does that mean if you don't "feel" anything God doesn't exist…That is dumb! Of course God is a belief! Oprah does a lot of good for a lot of people, but sometimes she attaches herself to some crazy people. I love Oprah but I love Jesus more I truly believe that there is only one way. This New Earth is just a fad. That being said, I wish some Christians would stop being so crazy. Oprah has done some amazing things and edured a terrible childhood. For that I give her props. But we cant decide what God is (well I guess you can……) and just pick and choose where we want him in our life and where we dont. It doesnt work that way. I choose to walk the walk instead of talk the talk. I have a friend in highschool who HATED all things Christian and would constantly attack my beliefs but I never preached to him or anything and just prayed for him and kept on being his friend. God was working on his heart the whole time and now four years later hes going on mission trips and goes to church more than I do. God can do amazing things for you if you just let him in!

The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stones magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.

Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:

"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."

That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:

"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."

She added:

"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."

Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...
