Abortion Girl Banned!
Yale University officials say they will not allow Abortion Girl to show her senior 'art' project at its scheduled opening on Tuesday unless she admits in writing that she's a fake.
School of Art Dean Robert Storr said, "Yale does not encourage or condone projects that would involve unknown health risks to the student. Nor does it believe that open discourse and inquiry can exist in an educational and creative community when an individual exercises these rights but evades full intellectual accountability for the strong response he or she may provoke.”
Abortion Girl has not responded to the University's latest 'ban' statement.
As of Friday, she was claiming that nothing was faked — she DID artificially impregnate herself and induce abortions.
Abortion Girl said last week that if the University refuses to exhibit her piece, she'll show it elsewhere.
Yale also announced that two faculty members have been disciplined for allowing Abortion Girl to move forward with her project.

While I don't condone what she did, she did state that she injected herself with sperm mid cycle, and took abortifactiant drugs around the time of her period. It takes almost a week for implantation, so IF successful, she was pregnant for maybe one to two weeks tops - it probably would not have even shown up on a pregnancy test as positive. So her point, after I waded through all the overworded jumble is at that point, there is a thin like between a period and a miscarriage, and one may never know which it is. Statistically more than half of women who are of child bearing age and have had unprotected sex have had miscarriages and not even realized it. What this "abortion girl" has done is blur the lines further of abortion and murder, and perhaps call attention to those ignorant enough to use abortion as their only means of birth control. If you don't want to get pregnant, USE PROTECTION or abstain. It's not just and "oops!", and then done with, people, it's creating life. It's as much for procreation as it is for pleasure. I am tired of the way some people stretch the definition of the word 'art'. Art isn't supposed to incite angry in the masses towards the 'artist'. Also, I wonder if this 'artist' knows that her 'project' is going to keep her from attaining many jobs. (unless her parents are rich and she can afford not to work). Schools/galleries have to start not accepting these works of 'art' that angry people. (years ago some 'artist' painted a madonna I think with animal feces and a Brooklyn museum hung it -it eventually was taken down because of the public complaining that the Brooklyn museum was city owned and they did not want their taxes to pay for that 'crap')

I don't know that Yale is lying here. The thing is, the university has always said it was a hoax…this girl (Aliza), just hasn't admitted that it is. Since she won't, the school isn't allowing her to show her project.
Now, it's true that Yale officials could be lying about whether or not it's a hoax. Personally, I've known people who've seen this girl's exhibition, and she definitely has videos of herself 'bleeding' and such. Of course, that doesn't mean that she was ever actually pregnant and miscarrying.
