3. Democrats, American seniors, and certain Republicans are criticizing the president for increased federal spending. Many former heads of offices, and former advisers have also criticized Bush for his poor decision-making concerning the economy.

Though I am not a Republican, I like the idea McCain proposes by negotiating with pharmaceutical companies to decrease their prices. Pharmaceutical companies make so much money, and their drugs are so expensive. Generic drugs are much cheaper, and work the same exact way, so why does a drug with a name or a commercial need to charge sick people so much? I don’t think the helpless people of this country need to pay more for the President’s poor decisions. Taxes are high enough, and because taxes on everything else in the country (even food) have gone up, income taxes will most likely inevitably rise. Hopefully I will be able to survive the constant demand the government takes for taxes when I am an adult, and hopefully our next president in office will be a genius and lead our country in the right direction.
