We might be seeing more of another Clueless star!

Alicia Silverstone is set to star in an ABC comedy pilot, Bad Mother's Handbook.
The show centers on Silverstone's character, Karen, a 32-year-old woman too busy taking care of her 16-year-old daughter and 48-year-old mother.
So if Silverstone's character is 32 and her daughter is 16, then 'Karen' was a teen mom!
Sounds like Jamie Lynn Spears will be watching!
Who would've guessed that teen pregnancy would be so en vogue in Hollywood?
Keep in mind that the show is just a pilot. The execs at ABC have yet to decide if you'll be seeing it in the Fall.
Alicia has had a less than stellar record on the small screen.

This is based on a book that actually concentrates on the daughter who is pregnant! Very funny though.

I have read the book it's canny good, was a short drama on ITV in Engaland. Although Catherine Tate, (comedy show, doctor who,) played the mother I can't see what her and Alicia Silverstone have in common!!!!?

i just wanted to let you know that i think you should quit getting on jlspears' back for being prego. i was 16 when i had my first child and it wasn't that bad. you make it seem like its a really, really bad thing to be 16 and pregnant. just remember that she is carrying a beautiful baby and when she has it you'll be the first one to try to get the pics.

The Bad Mother's Handbook was already a short series in the UK starring Catherine Tate in the Silverstone role. It was entertaining enough, but nothing special.

Alicia is a hasbeen and her most memorable performance in the last 5 years was ignoring Elisabeth on The View the day she fought with Rosie. Instead of being so worried about stupid dogs and cats she shold have worried aout her career. Her time has come and gone, hope she banked a lot of her earnnings.

That's funny, take a common black storyline- change the main characters to white folks=possible $$$. I guess they're trying to appeal to a broader audience all the while exposing that teenage pregnancy is on the rise in the white community and the public at large should be sympathetic. I loved her in Clueless, but this doesn't peak my interest in the least.

Wtf? Will it be filmed in a trailer park? Both Karen and her mom had kids at 16? And why would a 48 year old need taking care of by her 32 year old daughter? I'm 37 and my friends range in age from 22 to 40+ and I don't think any of them need to be taken care of….is the mom going to have some kind of illness? Also, although I would never call Jamie Lynn a role model, not all 16 year old mom's are "bad" (or atleast still considered bad by the time they're 32)….so I don't get the title….I would think if someone was the bad role model, it would be 48 year old grandma..
(I'm from the south, and this is quite normal in our small town…you can often find five and six generations still alive at once b/c everyone is having their kids in their early teens).
And why isn't great grandma featured? She'd only be 64…and great great grandma would only be 80….goodness, great great great grandma would probably still be alive at 96! (my mom is 64, her mom 86 and my other grandma in good health at 96 so the fact that many generations would be alive is possible!)
