Connor Cruise, son of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, is making his feature film debut in Will Smith's production of Seven Pounds, according to new reports.
An insider says Connor had to audition for the part and that Tom is "so proud" of his son for "doing this on his own."

Tom & Nicole adopted Connor when he was five days old and took him from the hospital, they also have a 14 year old adopted daughter. Unfortunately when Tom & Nicole divorced, Tom received physical custody of both Connor & Isabella, but what is most interesting and mean to me is the fact that the adopted children are rarely able to see Nicole for some reason unless Tom approves it. Also, the adopted children are now closer to Tom's current wife, Katie, and they call her mom and Nicole is known as just Nicole,also under Tom's commands. Nicole must have done something really awful to make Tom treat her this way and divorce her. I think it was for adultery on her part?????

Sophia Coppola was savaged for her role in Godfather 3. Most people felt she ruined the entire movie because her acting was so wooden. Now that she has carved out her own path with writing and directing - instead of letting her daddy cast her in movies - she is doing really well.
I would point out that Jason Schwartzman, Talia Shire's son and Francis Ford Coppola's nephew, really played down his connections because he didn't want to appear to be one of those Hollywood legacies. Same with Angelina Jolie. That's why she went with her middle name instead of being Angelina Voight so people wouldn't think, "Oh, that's Jon Voight's daughter. Whatever."
Of course, if Conner or any child of an established actor does well, it is because they are talented, not because they have a "name."
Actually, I thought both Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation were extremely overrated and a bunch of suck. So much for Sofia Coppola's talent….

If you think about it, who did most people sympathize with when they announced their divorce? Tom came out the asshole, tight lipped, "Nicole knows what she did." While Nicole came across as heart broken and still madly in love, kicked to the curb by Tom for some unknown reason. She said at the time and has since said, she had a miscarriage of his child. Was that her sin?
Bottom line, Nicole got what she wanted out of her contract. Sad that she lost her kids in the deal but she won an Oscar, right?

Sofia Coppola is the worst actress in Hollywood history. She singlehandedly ruined an entire movie that was part of one of the most successful franchises in film history. Audiences laughed out LOUD. She's made about 2 movies that worked. Without her connections, she'd be asking you if you want fries with that. Rumer is getting there. But someone could stick her head in a fryer by accident when they ran out of fries.

I just have to interject that while Sofia Coppola did a great job with Lost In Translation, she is one of the world's WORST actresses. Just check out Peggy Sue Got Married, or Godfather III to see how truly awful she is. Rumer Willis is no Meryl Streep, but she did slightly better than that in Miss Guided. Just thought I'd speak up, since Sofia's acting actually horrified me.
