Paula Abdul is currently a judge on American Idol, though she wants to explore new options and career moves for herself. The former singer, choreograher, and dancer is now reportedly admitting that she might want to join the next season of Dancing With The Stars!
Uhmmm. HELLO, stoopid. You used to be a CHOREOGRAPHER!
Would it really be fair if a former dancer/choreographer joined the show?
Last month, the dancing show's host, Tom Bergeron, "accidentally" revealed that Paula wanted to join next season.
And now, Paula just told OK! Magazine, that "I'm just hypothetically thinking about it."
She continues, "It's all Tom's fault! I'm a huge fan [of the show]. It would be a phenomenal experience for me to be a student and to learn a form of dance that I've never been introduced to."
As for there being any conflict between the fact that she's currently on a FOX program and wants to join an ABC show, Paula says, "There's a thing called the 'off-season,' I think."
And to try and distance herself from being classified as a "dancer", Paula adds, "I was always a choreographer… But I've never been able to be a student and I've never done partnering. If I even dabbled with it, I had to be the guy and that's not fun. I want to wear the pretty dresses like the girls."
Don't we all want to wear the pretty dresses?!
Coincidentally, both AI and DWTS share the same time slot on Tuesdays. Their studios are also located right next to each other. Paula adds, "What are the odds that two of my favorite shows are so close to each other? I can throw my panties at Tom Bergeron!"

Yes I would continute to watch if she was on it. I think it would be neat to see if she could pick up ballroom quick and if she would be sober the whole show or not on pills.

Although Paula has a background in choreographer, it was in a completely different type of dancing. They aren't allowed to have any ballroom dancing background. And besides, her experiences were like ten plus years ago! Also, with other contestants being Kristi Yamaguchi, Drew Lachey, and Mario, I don't think Paula's background would give her any more or less of an advantage. I still don't think she would do well
i like her but is she serious? she was a cheerleader, dancer and choreographer, hello? that's why i don't watch dwts anymore–too many quasi dancers or peeps with similar music or sports experiences that doesn't make the competition fair or in keeping with the original premise of the show.

Don't watch it now, wouldn't watch it then. But I do watch enough other TV to say it would be fare enough if she went on their because of other past & current dancers. This season Christy Yamagooche (whatever the spelling is, you know who I mean) she is bacisally a dancer on ice. I think I'd be easier not on ice. And others in the past too that have dancing as part of what they do in shows. I don't know all there names but I remember a couple of boy banders.

I think Paula wants to rework her image. I can't imagine why, but she has this notion that everyone thinks she's a crazy drunk. Hey Paula and her "no one appreciates the gift that I am" somehow didn't work in convincing us otherwise. So, now she thinks being filmed rehearsing and the inevitable meltdowns DWTS will capture is going to bolster her brand. Paula, for goodness sake, if you don't want folks to think you are a crazy drunk, then lay off the drink and drugs!
