Momma Spears Speaks!

Lynne Spears has been rather quiet lately, but Jamie Lynne's momma is speaking out about the impending arrival of her new grandchild and her hopes for the future.
Life & Style is touting an "exclusive interview" with Lynne in their new issue. An interview that sounds like it was conducted outside the supermarket or while she was pumping gas! Not very long at all.
“I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age,” she tells Life & Style. “All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands.”
But despite her frustration with the horny and irresponsible teen, Lynne is trying to focus on the positive.
“Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother,” she says. “She really has a way with children — she’s a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit.”
As for the future, Lynne remains hopeful for her daughter, telling Life & Style, “I think 2008 will be a better year for all of us.”
Let's hope so!

Whether it's the Spears', Hiltons or Lohans, we're fortunate enough to get a daily dose of bad parenting. In today's episode, Momma Spears says she "wished Jamie had waited a little longer." Normal parents threaten their teen daughters with disownment to avoid pregnancy and remind them of it on a daily basis. Momma Spears evidently put all the decision making into young, clueless, naive Jamie acting more like a buddy than a parent. Now, we see the result. Momma Spears should have been spaid, she should never have had children. That concludes today's episode of frighteningly bad parenting.
I got a better idea, Lynn, how about NOT leaving your children in "God's" hands, and try some hands-on MOTHERING. An invisible being is not going to raise your children for you.
I love how mama spears whored her daughters out to the world of hollywood!! It's good that she has a very positive outlook on her family situation. That will reduce bitterness and other hard feelings later on when it counts most. I really don't think that there's anything Lynne could've done different to prevent this from happening. My neighbor's daughter got pregnant at age 14, and she had been a good, fair mother to all of her children. Kids are experimenting with sex earlier, unfortunately, and they think that just because they're young and "everyone is doing it" and "nothing bad is happening to anyone else" that that means they can get away with it, too.
If you had been PARENTING her INSTEAD of using your children as piggy banks , maybe you would not look as the INCOMPETENT PARENT THAT YOU ARE!
I think it's only damaging for Jamie Lynn that Lynn is still saying she's disappointed in her. The damage is done, now be supportive. Teen pregnancy isn't a thing to be encouraged, but it can be a blessing just like any other pregnancy. My mom was the same age when she had my brother and she gives teen pregnancy a great name. She's a wonderful mother. I hope Jamie Lynn can do the same.

Good for the Spears family. Britney is getting her shit together with the help of her parents. Jamie Lynn having a baby at 16 isn't that huge of a deal — the dad is right by her side and she can certainly afford to take care of the baby. How many girls would have had an abortion? Then nobody would know they had been pregnant, the baby would be dead and everyone would think she was so nice. But that's fake! Instead this girl does the right thing and gets ripped apart — by SOME people. I wish her luck.

I think everything she said was awesome! Teens get pregnant all the time, and as a scare tactic all we hear about are the ones who are disowned or the ones that abort. As a parent you see so much potential in your children, and they work both ends of the emotional spectrum bringing you more joy than you could ever known, and at some points disappointing you to such great lengths. You learn that that's okay, and you learn the true meaning of unconditional love. To each his own, but some (including myself) turn to God for strength for both you, your kids, and your family to get you through whatever life brings. It's a disappointing situation, but she also shows her pride in her daughter and her faith in her kid to be a good mother. She's fortunate, she'll have help, probably nannies - which is awesome. It is possible to be a mother and to experience life and remain an individual. (Just somebody remind her that ladies seem to be a bit more fertile in the year after having a baby…just look at Brit).
