Her performance was honestly bad after she restarted. That isn't to say that her restart triggered a shitty performance from then on, but it was still terrible. If we are judging, not by popularity (though it is how most of us vote anyway) but by actual talent, Brooke White does not have it. She is shaky at best every week, she doesn't pick her songs very well (and like Michael Johns) will be quickly forgotten in the mainstream. Mark my words, tonight Brooke is out!

This pains me… I love Brooke, but she fucked up and did not recover. She also did something similar earlier this season, starting to play the piano and then stopping and starting over. She's got to go now, I have had my time with her and now I am done.

ah, I disagree completely. The audience say her screw up and it wasnt edited out. She didnt get any advantage from starting over and most likely it will count against her for voting since thats what people will remember and talk about.

Her performance was actually much natural and believable than Madonna's studio version from the movie EVITA. Also, if you listen to Brooke's studio versions on iTunes, she is one of the best studio vocalists. (Her guitar arrangment and performance of HERO was much better than the live piano version).

Anyway, I think Brooke is a breathe of fresh air to the IDOLS franchise. An old-school 70's vibe singer like Carole King, Stevie Nicks, James Taylor who sings great melodies with passion and heart.

She might not have the range of a Mariah or Whitney (pre-crack), but I think she knows how to sell a song. Her versions of LET IT BE, YOU'RE SO VAIN, and LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD were great.

And although I usually like Jason and David Cook, I thought both their performances last night were far more embarrassingly bad than brooke's flubbing the lyrics. still, she will unfortunately be the one to probably go home tonight.

It's not suprising that she had no support to adaquately perform that song. Sitting crushes the diaphram needed to sustain vocals. Not to mention that it cripples her from having any kind of stage presense. Sing to the guy in the rafters but get up off your dupa and "bleed" for that song if you want the accolades.

Everyone is saying how much they love Jason Castro….ya'll are a bunch of idiots who chooses memory and then claims they have no idea about the song?
