"It was such a big mistake, it's embarrassing. I didn't think it was cool. If I had known it was going to run for 70 years, I would have sucked it up and become callous like the rest of them."

- American Idol season 1 co-host Brian Dunkleman tells TV Guide, on leaving the show

    1. Al Sharpton Leads Coloreds in Uprising in New York says – reply to this

      1

      Friday Morning
      25 April 2008
Well the New York jury has just returned a "not guilty" verdict on the three white police officers who inadvertently killed the wrong black man, Sean Bell, in a police sting at a local raucous night club.
NAACP and all the coloreds are all up in arms. Al Sharpton johnny-on-the-spot-as-usual. Crying, yelling, ANF's, ABF's, ABM's, people fallin-out all over the place, hoopin' & hollerin', all claiming to be victim's who've been wronged.
A perfect micro-sample of the spice of life we will get either for weeks after an Obama defeat, or for 4 years if Obama is elected.

      ________________________________________________________________

No, what actually happened was the guy came out and in trying to leave the club rammed his car into the undercover officer's car several times. two of the police officers were black and Latino. Whatever newspaper you got that from has terrible fact checkers!!!!!

    26. LT says – reply to this

      26

more likely, the show got rid of him and he is saying he made the mistake of leaving, just to save face…I'm just sayin', that's how the business works!
They knew Seacrest could go it alone and obviously, he could!

    27. Fo Realz says – reply to this

      27

He's a douche. He says it right there "I didn't think it was cool". He thought he was too cool for AI and that's why he left. It didn't have anything to do with how they treat contestants. that's BS. It's ok Brian, I'm sure there is a big hit show down the road for you with Mushy Fartone and Shannen Doherty. A great talent like yours can't be wasted.

    28. gigi says – reply to this

    29. lizzstar99 says – reply to this

      29

Yeah, it might have been one of the biggest career mistakes of all time, but I give it to Brian. He left the show because it didn't agree with his value system. There aren't many people that would leave a job like that when there's a paycheck being waved in front of their face. I really hope his stint on CFC brings him some new job opportunities, not because of any talent he might possess, but he's seems to be a pretty decent person.

    35. Al Sharpton Leads Coloreds in Uprising in New York says – reply to this

      35

Re: cambel – Thank you for the clarification, #27. So this means the black victim was creating a scene, not innocent at all,…and the cops really were innocent of wrong-doing.
      Excellent point.
Makes Sharpton and the raving negroes outside the courthouse look EVEN MORE STUPID. Which I had previously not thought possible.

    36. Lindsay says – reply to this

      36

Get over it dude. Time to let it go.

How are the people on the show "callous"? Maybe Simon is. But Seacrest has become almost an advocate for the contestants.

This guy is a drunk and his memory is fuzzy… word on the street is.. he wasn't asked back!!!! why would he not come back? did he have another gig? who turns down a job on national tv? u don't spend your life auditioning to turn a huge pay check down… i doubt highly he was concerned for the talent, but let's say he was… was he drunk???…cause i don't hear kelly complaining! he shouldn't be too bummed, cause even if his story is true ( and i doubt it) he would have been fired in a season or two… if u ever watch CR.. u know he has nothing interesting going on… except many bottles of wine. seacrusty did not need this guy… the show would have tanked and been off the air… in season two if drunkleman was at the helm. tru dat!

Typical loser statement- He can't just say he was wrong- he has to insult everyone else who made the right decision to stay. Just so typical. That says a lot about his character. He probably does a lot of loser stuff.

    41. tazzyfoo says – reply to this

PEREZ, I POST THIS IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ARTICLE ABOUT LAWRENCE KING (25/04/2008.) RIP LAWRENCE AND SHOW SOME COURAGE OF YOUR CONVICTIONS PEREZ—-> You know Perez - you encourage us to fight against LGBT bullying and harassment and yet you make a living from bullying/demoralizing/victimizing/demonizing anyone who does not meet your "standards". You comment and discriminate via appearance, gender, sexuality, heredity and even hearsay. I would be very interested to see if you are brave enough to accept people for who they are. I may not like Heidi M , Mariah C, Tom C, Nicole K, Rosie O etc. but that does not justify a campaign of hatred against them, even if your comments are "just" observations. If you are honestly against name-calling, bullying and harassment - post this comment as a main article, encourage your audience to be tolerant to ALL people. I dare you!

    44. Brianna says – reply to this

      44

Idiot loser! He asked for all this money for season 2 or they'd have to do without him so the producers decided they didn't need him anyone and Seacrest would suffice. Who's the one making all the dough now?

    48. Serg says – reply to this

      48

They probably would have let him go even if had stayed for season 2. If you saw season 1, you can tell Seacrest was running the show anyway.

He sucked on AI. He would have been fired anyway because he was embarrassingly annoying. Trying to save face by acting like he is better than anyone else there is so desperate and transparent.

uhhh he said on the howard stern show not that he CHOSE not to return to AI but that he was let go because of ryan seacrest (ryan didn't want to share the spotlight, etc.). even so, who tf cares about AI? this guy needs to move on and find other projects. i'd rather be a forgettable one hit wonder than be like ryan seacrest, on 3 television shows but hated by 90% of the country.

      59

Ryan isn't hated by 90% of the country. Some just find him annoying because he's basically everywhere (with his 99+ jobs). But in all honesty, Ryan Seacrest is good at what he does. And they pay him for it, deservingly. And that is why Ryan is successful.

    60. Dunkleman is cool says – reply to this

      60

He's awesome — I'm watching Celebrity Fit Club — and his smart assery kicks ass — he told Tocarra (spelling error I'm sure…) "keep talking — but try to save some cameratime for later." He explained how he hated the American Idol show b/c it was so hard on the kids. I hate American Idol so I completely see his point there. I hope he finds work he's extremely smart and deserves better than AI or CFC.

Re: Al Sharpton Leads Coloreds in Uprising in New York – Hmmmm…let's take a look at your post.
Had you even heard about this case before you decided to post an ignorant (ignorant in the literal sense of the word) comment about it?
Somehow, I think you saw this story (in fragments) on Good Morning America, or The Today Show, when you were waking up to get your day started at McDonald's, and decided to voice an opinion. Unfortunately, your small brain decided to only soak up bits and pieces. Let me help you since you can't comprehend (or read, since your facts are screwed up). The police officers were not "white police officers". Nor did they kill "the wrong black man". Five officers fired a total of fifty shots at Bell, thirty nine bullets struck him. Three officers were prosecuted. None of those three were white.

Hopefully, if you can't read this, which I'm assuming you can't, others who read your moronic post will actually be reading facts and not some asshole's version of events.

      PS…you're welcome!

      Re: Ignorantassholehaterrrrrrr
Wait I take that back, not Good Morning America, wrong time frame. You must have quoted your KKK mother and father complaining to the toothless neighbors that live in your trailer park. I do apologize for my bluntness, it's really not your fault that your father is also your favorite uncle. Children born to parents with the same DNA often have brain abnormalities such as yours.

Everyone makes mistakes, all the Dunkleman haters are obviously AI zombies. Sure it's entertaining, but it's obviously bd for humanity. I don't blame him for leaving, but I don't blame him for being sorry either. Who wouldn't like to be rich?

I don't know, watch him on Fit Club. He seems like a decent, funny guy.

People are beginning to wake up from the hypnotic stupor of Obama talking "Change" and "Coming Together"—with absolutely no substance or depth. One long four-year negro restitution black-out. All international politics and national programs and agencies will come to a screeching halt for four long dismal years—while 400 years of restitution are paid to negroes who WANNA GET PAID…!!!
