Kim Cattrall is The Advocate's new cover girl and she doesn't hold back in her chit chat with the peeps in the issue.
The claws are coming out!!!!!
When she's asked about her relationship with the other Sex and the City gals, Cattrall responds, "Do you get along with your colleagues all the time? If you're spending 18 hours a day at work, the last thing you want to do is go and have a drink with the people who you just-you just need to get away."

In regards to the much talked about salary dispute she responds, "I never expected to be paid what Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) was being paid. But I felt that the offer was not worthy of what the three of us had contributed. And I spoke up about it. I feel like I stuck my neck out. I fought. I don't ever want to be on a set where I feel undervalued."
Feisty! Good for her for getting her fair share.
If there was ever to be a smack down between SJP and Kim Cattrall our money would totally be on KC. For sure!
She may not have been the main character, but she added much more than her fair share to the show. Frankly, SJP's 'Carrie' was sort of a bore a lot of the time. She's worth every penny!

I totally agree w/ Cattrall. Obviously, SJP was the biggest name going into the series, but the series was made by each of the characters' completely different personalities. I know the show centered around Carrie, but Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda were all a little more interesting, and if they don't make the same amount of money SJP did, it should be close.
Didn't everyone on Friends make the same paycheck?? And it's sad that they make the person who stands up for what's right the crazy bitch. Good for you, Kim!!
Sorry but Kim Makes Sex and the City exciting especially her one-liners. Carrie's character is boring at times, Kim needed to get PAID!

Samantha was the biggest whore on the show and the most entertaining to watch. Carrie was always bitching and rambling on about herself. In real life her character would have driven me bat shit! I think all of them should be paid equally…I mean, it wouldn't have been Sex & The City without all four girls. It might also be mentioned that Samantha's cancer scare was amoung the most emotional moments of the entire series. Just a thought. x
SJP only gets paid more because her name is more well known than the others. The show and the movie takes all 4 girls to make it what it is.
Kim should be paid the same if not more than SJP. Her character brought so much into the show. Its a "comdey" and she is the funniest amongst the 4.

I used to be impartial with SJP, but then I read somewhere that she admitted, being a voter for the Oscars, she never watched Brokeback Mountain and decided to vote for another movie for Best Picture. Not cool!
Last night at the local cinema the SATC preview came up. When SJP's face came up on the screen a few people actually spontaneously went "EWWWWWW"- the rest of the audience broke into laughter. I do NOT think this movie is going anywhere. Kim C is much better to look at even though she is older. I will not go see it because I just cannot LOOK at SJP on the screen. And evidently, I'm not alone on that one.

Sex and the City would have been nothing w/o Kim Catrall. True, when the show first began Sarah Jessica Parker may have been the main draw, but over time the other three characters have evolved into being just important as the one potrayed by Parker.

I have so much respect for Kim Cattrall. She is a hard-working actress, with an extensive career in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. It wouldn't be fair to paint her as a "bitch" because she's not. I'm glad she stuck up for herself. She wasn't being greedy. Like she has said, she wants to get paid — it is a business after all. Also, as she has pointed out, why should she be getting paid less than SJP when she's working just as hard — and just as long, and essentially carrying out the same duties? There's no vindictiveness in her comments. She's simply a worker explaining her situation.
Kim Catrall is the best actress on that show. The show would be NOTHING without her, and she better be properly compensated. SHE DID THE HARDEST SCENES over and over again. She is beautiful, and the rest of the girls should be nice to her. I also like that she's keeping it real in the press, unlike SJP who is very fake. I'll say it again, SAMANTHA is the SEX in sex and the city. PAY HER.

She might not have been Carrie, but come on the show was called "Sex in the City" and Samantha was the one that had all the sex!!! Samantha is the featured character in the episodes that are my favorite, when she had a gray pube… When Smith shaved his head because she lost her hair… She was the reason why the show was great, and K.C. made that character believe able and not trashy, for lack of a better word. She was naked in just about every episode.. and even though the rumor is that she and SJP did not get along, you never felt it in one episode. She should have held out for $ there would be no movie with out K.C.

I love this woman. I love the way she thinks, she is so honest and down to earth… I know so many people who feel this way about kids, marriage, coworkers… it's refreshing to see someone in hollywood speak so candidly about it all.

Kim's character Samantha always made me laugh and smile on Sex and the City. Carrie on the other hand is one of the most annoying characters on TV!!
While Carrie was obviously the main character in the show, it was Samantha who was always the most entertaining to watch. Honestly, without that character, the whole series would've been actually quite boring. What comes to Carrie, well, she was the weakest link IMO, a very annoying and quite childish most of the time. Kim Cattrall deserves every penny and even more. I'm glad she's speaking out and being honest. She seems like a really strong woman, which is just fabulous.
Actually I always liked the character Samantha best. She was the only one of the three that seemed like a flower that had really bloomed. The other characters were all stunted or deformed in some way. She was the coolest broad in Manhattan.
And Kim Cattrall looks great for 51 years old.
I've actually found Carrie's story line a bit boring and annoying, especially towards the end of the series. And she was such a whiny bitch with Big. I'm just like, uhhh, shut up. Without Kim, Cynthia, and Kristin SJP has got NOTHIN.

Friends actors made the same paycheck because they were all main/important characters whereas Carrie was the main character in SATC so of course SJP made more money (unfortunately because she sucked) anyway I hope the movie is not all about the megalomaniac SJP/Carrie the other girls are better.

If I had to pick a role model from SATC actors, it would be this woman hands down.
If I had to pick an actress from the series that shined above over and over, it's KC. I didn't like the character of Samantha at first, she seemed more like a gay man than any woman I've even known, but Kim's portrayal completely made me a Sam convert. Brilliant.
Why is it the other two would not get behind the one who was doing the most for them, KC? Women are often their own worst enemies in these things.
