Chesney Injured During Concert - Goes On With Show!

Forget a wardrobe malfunction. That's so early millennium!

Kenny Chesney suffered a serious technical malfunction during the start of his new tour in Columbia, S.C., on Saturday night.

The country singer's foot got STUCK between the stage and a lift that was taking him up from below.

The injury was serious enough that Chesney was seen limping throughout the entire show. A team physician from the University of South Carolina waited nearby while Renee Zellweger's ex completed his performance.

Upon leaving the stage, Chesney's boot was cut off, and the doctor treated the injury to minimize damage.

The exact severity is not known at this time, but Kenny had released the following statement:

"I took one look at those fans, and there was no way I wasn't going on. Sometimes the energy and the adrenalin pull you through. They had come to rock, and there was no way I was sending them home with anything less than the best of what me and my guys came to do — put it all out there and give them back at least as good as they gave us. … Honestly, through the pain, through all of it, Columbia, S.C., totally got me through."

Like any good gay, Kenny knows….

The show MUST go on!

      I was at the show and he rocked Williams-Brice stadium! We all knew he was hurt bad, but he still gave us an awesome show. He was limping around and wincing with pain a good bit, but he still ran up and down the double T stage. I'm sure whatever he was drinking helped a lot!

      Gay, straight, whatever…I have respect for a performer who will put their own physical health on the line to keep performing for their fans. Pete Wentz did it back at VooDoo Fest in New Orleans in October when he jumped off of an speaker stack and broke his ankle. I could tell he was in pain for the whole show, but it was still amazing. I talked to him after the show after the EMTs treated him and he was in such great spirits. I bet it was the same for Kenny. I am proud of him for holding his head up high and for his stamina to keep performing.

      I was there last night and he really did a great job - he had to have broken it. We were back stage and there were tons of people waiting to cart him off as soon as he got off stage….thank you for a great performance!

      I'm not a huge fan of "Lil Kenny" however….I have seen him in concert several times and will admit that of all the country artists I've seen he does "rock it"
      I about died laughing when Paris called him gay because I've been saying it for years…sure the man will hire a prostitute now and again, but once they're behind closed doors is he paying for action, or for her not to talk about the in-action. If you've ever watched Lil Kenny on-stage and how he interacts with his band mates or Uncle Cracker you really have to wonder which sex he prefers! When Renee Z left him the first thing I said was that Lil Kenny was gay and she didn't find out till they were married.
      I love to watch Kenny on-stage, so I really don't care what's going on back-stage.

      He is an amazing performer and a workaholic. His concerts are great and cant wait for this year (even if there's a delay).

      I was at the concert and met him before the show that night, and he's unfriendly and extremely cocky. I did feel bad when he hurt his foot though. You'd never have known he was injured from his voice. He sounded wonderful.

      I was at that concert and I LOVE Kenny Chesney. He is an awesome singer and performer, hince all the Bset Performer of the Year awards he's got. And for him to have a broken foot he rocked it. And just that gave me a greater respect for him as a musician. And oh yeah, HE IS NOT GAY!!! so everybody just needs to stop saying he is just because him and Renne didn't work out. And for all of yall who have never listened to country music, quit critising it until you listen to it, ecspecially Kenny Chesney!!!
