What a Crazy Face!

Robert Francis, a 31 year old homeless man with a Colgate smile from St. Louis, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Francis was charged Monday with the murder of his cell mate over the weekend, by strangling him to death.

The victim was dead upon arrival at a St Louis hospital.

Both Francis and the victim were arrested on Friday and waiting for their court appearances on Monday.

According to the city's Public Safety Director, Charles Bryson, it is often routine for two inmates to share a cell.

Bryson said, "I don't know if the person snapped, or if there had been an escalation throughout the day." There was no apparent knowledge of any history between Francis and the victim.

"I don't want any death on my watch. Frankly, it's disturbing," adds Bryson.

Attorney John Wallach added, "What we've been hearing is that the justice center is not a safe place. Whether people have to spend hours in there or weeks, the level of support and care, even for people who are in for minor matters, is abysmal."

R.I.P. dude.

That homeless fella needs some serious psychiatric help.

He's about to get it - and lots of it!

      I work in a homeless shelter and I see this type of behavior from men and women all the time. It's a sad world and all I have to say it thank Ronald Reagan for shutting down the funds that mental institutes needed to function during his administration.       I have been working in prisons for the past five years. It is very unusual for someone to obtain their own cell, and in fact, often times hundreds of people are forced to live together, triple bunked, in a room that is much too small to equip so many bodies. Inmates killing each other is not uncommon. Prisons are very overcrowded and the services available to them are often times less than adequate

      I, too, spend a lot of my free time working in the shelters in downtown Los Angeles. It's tragic that the majority of the homeless truly need psychiatric help, and not just food and a place to sleep. While, we can blame the Reagan administration for the initial closures of institutions, believe me, Clinton could have chosen to reverse that or come up with another solution. For you to say that this solely is a republicans fault and that all republicans are the same is ignorant. The problem with the homeless in America is not the sole responsibility, or because of, the republican party. Grow up and accept responsibility for your country, as I accept responsibility for it. We live in a country that gives endless freedoms and rights, if you don't like something, quit taking focus of the problem by trying to blame others, and come up with, or be a part of the solution!

If I chose to blame one party or a group of people as opposed to another, this is my perogative and the right to freedom of speech. I DO work with homelessness, unlike you who volunteers. So I am doing what I can to assist and support the men and women who are in dire need of our love and guidance. Telling me to grow up is not a soluntion here so maybe you should go back to that LA shelter you spend an hour or two here and there and concentrate on how YOU and YOU alone are on the side of homelessness and not a political party!!
