Amy Winehouse’s parents are quite the yappers about their daughter’s love life!

We mentioned earlier that Daddy Winehouse, Mitch, disapproved of his daughter’s cheating ways.

Yes, she's having an affair with a new guy named Alex, who is her manager's assistant. And, yes, her husband, Blake, is still in jail.

But, not to be out done, Amy’s mother, Janis Winehouse, has also shared her thoughts on Amy’s new love – clean cut ‘momma’s boy’ Alex Haynes — to the UK press.

Mommy Winehouse says, "He's a lovely boy - gentle and sweet. He really looked after Amy popping out to buy cigarettes, papers, anything she wanted… He works for her manager so their relationship was professional to begin with but if they've made something of it, I'm thrilled.”

Momma went on to say that she blames Wino's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, for sending Amy down the wrong path of drugs and self-harm and that Ames needs a man who will look after her. Mom just wants Amy to put this ‘terrible time’ behind her and be drug free.

She’s praying that Alex is that man!

It's a lot to ask of a young guy — we wonder if Alex is up for this high-pressure role…

Amy’s mom does show a practical side – she says she’s not getting her hopes up because Fielder-Civil has a "weird control" over her daughter, "He is always calling her from prison, threatening to divorce her but it's just emotional blackmail.”

Out with Blake!

      whatever happens with guy….she needs to leave her "husband" behind in the dust.

      i'm sure there's more problems to amy than just her husbands influence (of which plays a big role) but self-cutting/drug abuse usually has deeper reasons than just the people around you influencing you. Seems like she needs to deal with that first and foremost.

      I agree something more than the lame 6-week rehab is needed.

      It's about time someone said it out loud! That lousy husband of Amy's introduced her to that drug-infested lifestyle and now that she is hooked, he has control over her.
