Jim Carrey plays gay in the new film, I Love You Phillip Morris.

Dressed in Versace from head to toe and sporting a fake tan, the Canadian actor - with fellow thesp Rodrigo Santoro - was spotted in the movie's Miami Beach set on Monday.

In the movie, one of Jim's lovers is played by Ewan McGregor.

Jim Carrey is a comic genius — much funnier than those overfed, low-brow misogynistic (Katherine Heigl was right — and brave — to SAY it) Judd Apatow schlubs. The Apatow crap can't hold a candle to Ace Ventura and The Mask. (Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell are also hilarious; more in Carrey's league.)

Jim Carrey is a comic genius — much funnier than those lame, overfed, woman-hating Judd Apatow characters. (Katherine Heigl was right — and BRAVE — to point out what a misogynistic pile of crap "Knocked Up" was.) Carrey will be hilarious as a gay man (admit it, Perez!) The Mask (even though it did feature the witless, talentless Cameron Diaz) and Ace Ventura are two of the funniest movies ever made. Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller are also terrific. Adam Sandler? I can understand if its a true story.. but Its so frustrating a gay dude/ who lives and acts a very masculine ("straight") life.. so see this constantly in the media (nothing wrong with it in doses) but it doesn't represent sooo many dudes who are gay but still dudes - surfers/ skaters/ construction workers/ business men….etc. We need more gay men to be seen in the everyday life - not just this image.

I went to the White Party in Palm Springs about 5 years ago-EVERY guy had a VERSACE Speedo swimsuit, with matching cover up's(which didn't stay on for long) since life is about choices and not judging, I would say that this stereotype is well deserved

Uggh, Jim Carrey is NOT attractive. Ewan is my all time top celebrity crush, but the thought of him making out with Jim Carrey will make me not see this movie. It's not that I have a problem seeing Ewan kiss another guy. I thought the scene with him and Christian Bale at the end of Velvet Goldmine was pretty hot.
