The only reason Coldplay has any fame is because of the seemingly superior band, Travis, paved the way for them. Chris Martin is only good for getting into a studio, hitting record and whining into a microphone for 12 tracks.

My favorite albums this and last year were Animal Collective's Strawberry Jam, Arcade Fire's Neon Bible, and Phantom Planet's Raise the Dead.

Its AWESOME - you dont even need to listen more than 10 sec. and you know itll be amazing !

I wouldn't have beef with her, because I think her star has faded and I felt sorry after her father passed, but after she moved to London and trashed New York (comparing the West Village to "Disneyland") I have no more time for her. I wish buying his music wasn't lining her pockets, but oh well….

To Citygal–TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU..what's really bad..1 of my all time favorite songs is GREEN EYES..after Chris got got with Goko - he said that he would never perform that song again (song was written for his ex)..I saw then perform on Jone Beach (best concert ever) and such a shame…

As always, Coldplay and Chris Martin make GREAT music. I have loved them since their huge hits Yellow and Trouble. I have every CD, and his voice, meloncholy and sweet, just touches my soul. Their music - from lyrics to instrumental - allow you to just sit back and enjoy, no matter the context you are in!!!! As with all musicians, and Genres some will love them or hate them. I just happen to LOVE coldplay! Downloading the FREE song now.
I'd hardly call Chris Martin a "genius". Listen to Team Sleep and Deftones, people. Chino Moreno is as close to a musical genius as our generation will ever get. (I personally feel he is one).
